In general, I despise reality shows, so I'm pretty biased. I've seen brief preview clips of this since my GameSpot subscriper membership lapsed, and it looked stupid as hell. Yes, I'm aware that's an impression based on a preview. So, for my information, in a typical episode, what do they actually do?
They usually cry and moan about who was eliminated last time. Do a physical challenge like thing related to the game they'll play.
Their ranked on that challenge, than they play the game's score attack like modes, that is than factored with the real life challenge. The highest ranked one gets to choose who will play the lowest ranked one in an elimination match of the game they've been playing.
Some of the people have a habit of boasting when they have no right to. Like Jeremy or Jerome who had his specialty listed as fighting games but did as bad as everyone else when they played Virtua Fighter 5. That Dante guy at least has a right to be condescending to them since he can actually play the games they've done so far.
Watching other people play is pretty boring to be honest. Wathing TV is pretty boring to be honest. Drama is boring to be honest. A combination of these can't be good.Listen_420I enjoy watching others play a game if they're decent at it, because in general, I'm not the greatest at games. I do enjoy my television watching too (Chuck, House, Reaper, etc). Drama can be boring, but if done right, it can be really good. The Green Mile was drama, and just thinking of the end almost brings me to tears once more. But, that's just me and my opinions, good sir. :)
i watched some of it and i wasnt impressed at all. i would really like to see more competitive gaming tournaments on tv, but nothing. hopefully it will pick up soon.
I'll watch that ESPN Madden show but not this. If they just played games then maybe but seeing them do other stuff is quite boring. The drama, it's so silly, I wouldn't want to be even seen watching something so childish as that.
Yes.
Its a fun show. Its great for a laugh at the train wreck aspects (last episode was a perfect example) and to my surprise there was some decent eye candy on women front. A friend of mine watches it too and we give it the MST3K treatment (er.. text version anyway). Worth a watch I say.
