Dragon Age Inquisition Is this grinding to win?

I'm stuck at a portal near a champ in hinterland. I can't beat little demons who use frost magic and jump higher. I have dispel, but that's not enough to beat them easily. I have to ask that is this game grinding to win? I hated dragon age origins combat but this apparently does not have enough strategic settings as origins had, game speed is fine, but strategic elements worse than that?

Is this grinding to win? Characters who don't have enough level have 0 % chance to beat strong enemies? Or Am I missing a point? Please say I'm missing something. I don't like to live with people who rate the game like 9/10 because of the graphics and stories.

there are a few areas in Inquisition that require pretty crazy requirements, but they are strictly optional and I would call them "challenge" zones before I would describe them as "grinding to win".

Go and play the game, revisit them every few levels, see how you fare, repeat. They're tests, challenges to prove your worth, your mettle...maybe even challenges designed by the developer not to be beaten at all but by the very very lucky or by the very very hardcore? Who knows!?

Great game overall, though, love the lore, the questing, the overall experience and the combat is not perfect but it's about the overall strategy not the individual combat. Didn't you make another thread critiquing "Western" games? Maybe you should be sticking to games from the land of Japan, they tend to be a bit flashier.

I thought inquisition was the worst of the series but I wouldn't call it grind to win.

I finally beat it. I was keep losing because I was using an ice element attack against an enemy with ice resistance. phew
