Maybe for you. You also neglected to list all of the Dreamcast's amazing arcade-perfect shmups-- as well as Ikaruga for the Gamecube. (Despite the sloppy porting job, and the fact that the Dreamcast version was superior, it was one of the best games available for Gamecube.)[QUOTE="pills4louis"]

Dreamcast ... it doesn't put up much competition to the GC unless you really like fighters

If you like that sort of game, sure, but you can't really make a logical argument that the DC does much better then the GC.
I actually agree with him. The Dreamcast has a VEEEERRRRY well rounded library. In hindsight, this is really what matters for a systems lastability. It had THE best fighters of all the other three systems of that gen(xbox, gc, ps2), it had a few good sim racers(not the best, but good), it had the Sonic Adventure series, the Jet Set series, quarky titles like Seaman that weren't available any place else, a bunch of "wii-type" peripheral party games, GREAT RPGS, a game like Shenmue which is an experience that has even yet to be attempted again, and lets not forget that for awhile it had the best sports games in the 2k series--madden was lackluster in comparison and it wasn't until way later that the other systems got those games.
I love the gamecube for a few really great titles, but a large part of the library was either ports of ps2 games or super versions of N64 titles. Games like Blue Storm didn't even exceed the original waverace.
