dude, I couldn't agree with you more. I am sick of all of the crappy non-realistic snowboard games out there, just as I was with the non realistic skateboarding games. When I first got skate I was amazed by how deep it was and how big the map was. I have some ideas on what ea could do with a snowboarding game. feel free to agree or disagree with my suggestion
The start of the game could begin just like skate did, with a near life threatening crash followed by an introduction to all the pros in the game. Next you create your guy or girl (they should put women into this game unlike they did in skate) After creating your boarder you choose his clothes (with realistic prices, no jacket should cost $1000) then you choose your stance. The different widths and your foot position could play a role in whether your board will be meant more for racing or jumps. next you select your board, boots, and bindings. Unlike in skate the cost of your board boots and bindings should affect how good it is, a $700 Burton board should completely outclass a $100 firefly board. I think that ea should map out a whole bunch of famous resorts such as whistler, aspen etc... and when you start the game you select your "homebase" This is the place you start out at when the game begins. When you start out you can cruise around your home mountains hills and backcountry and meeting random pros and passing both local skiers and snowboarders. As your boarder progresses he begins to enter contests, like snowboard x races, superpipe, and best trick contests. As your boarder wins these contests he earns money, and eventually gets a sponsor. Shortly after this he will do a shoot for transworld snowboarding. After getting a sponsor your boarder will be sent around the world to other resorts to compete in other competitions. Until he finally gets the chance to compete in the winter x games.
Well there you have it. my brief (or not so brief) overview of what ea should do in order to create an amazing snowboard game. As I said before feel free to agree or disagree with me, as well as add new aspects to my idea.
