I thing that i goes without saying that EA's Skate is the only real skateboarding game out there. for any real skater there is nothing better then feeling that realism while three fliping a six set. My point being, that as a True snowboarder I would like to feel that tsame realism appliedto a snowboarding game. I am sick of all this Amped and SSX Garbage, they are just Tony Hawk Rip offs, and Im soory, but I think that THPS is crap, therefore any offshoots of this product will garbabge as well. I believe that if EA Blackbox were to creat a Snowboarding Game that it would do justice to the sport and the gamers who are looking for some good realistic game play.

There for, I believe that EA Studios Should make a Snowboarding Game.

SSX it cool, the "super UBER" thing's gone too far but it's a hugely styled series with great soundtracks.. i just hope it reverts to sheer racing rather that all those pointless events

I agree with you, the current generation of snowboard and skate games are really unoriginal and need to be more realistic like skate. Skate really apeals to the everyday skater because of its gameplay style and how realistic it is. I think were all tired of Tony Hawk games and the general unrealism of it all.

A snowboard game with the sameinterface as skate would be great, and maybe EA could find a way to incorporate the whole big world of skateability intoa snowboarding game. It would be a great new and original idea to try out.

Your criticism of SSX doesn't make much sense. I didn't enjoy the old Tony Hawk games (I owned 1 and 3) just because they are essentially solitary scoring contests. SSX on the other hand, has scoring segments, but my favorite part was the racing. The track and character design was strong and the voice acting was hilarious (though the celebrity obsessed SSX Tricky was a low point).

I don't know if SSX came under new management or somethng, but both the overly crowded tracks of On Tour and the bland (and voiceless) player designed characters one had to use were were big disappointments. And Blur recycled old tracks and kept the characters voiceless so it appears to me that SSX3's title as the best game in the series won't be under threat for the forseeable future.

I know little and could care less about extreme sports, I just am looking for a fun game, so a realistic snowboarding game probably wouldn't interest me much more than the sewage that is the modern SSX games.

Just because you don't like the realistic type games doesn't mean that there aren't people out there that do. Obviously EA Skate introduced a new scheme that many people seem to like. A snowboarding game would have just as much or more success seeing how there are more people that snowboard then skateboard seeing how it doesn't take as much coordination.

dude, I couldn't agree with you more. I am sick of all of the crappy non-realistic snowboard games out there, just as I was with the non realistic skateboarding games. When I first got skate I was amazed by how deep it was and how big the map was. I have some ideas on what ea could do with a snowboarding game. feel free to agree or disagree with my suggestion

The start of the game could begin just like skate did, with a near life threatening crash followed by an introduction to all the pros in the game. Next you create your guy or girl (they should put women into this game unlike they did in skate) After creating your boarder you choose his clothes (with realistic prices, no jacket should cost $1000) then you choose your stance. The different widths and your foot position could play a role in whether your board will be meant more for racing or jumps. next you select your board, boots, and bindings. Unlike in skate the cost of your board boots and bindings should affect how good it is, a $700 Burton board should completely outclass a $100 firefly board. I think that ea should map out a whole bunch of famous resorts such as whistler, aspen etc... and when you start the game you select your "homebase" This is the place you start out at when the game begins. When you start out you can cruise around your home mountains hills and backcountry and meeting random pros and passing both local skiers and snowboarders. As your boarder progresses he begins to enter contests, like snowboard x races, superpipe, and best trick contests. As your boarder wins these contests he earns money, and eventually gets a sponsor. Shortly after this he will do a shoot for transworld snowboarding. After getting a sponsor your boarder will be sent around the world to other resorts to compete in other competitions. Until he finally gets the chance to compete in the winter x games.

Well there you have it. my brief (or not so brief) overview of what ea should do in order to create an amazing snowboard game. As I said before feel free to agree or disagree with me, as well as add new aspects to my idea.
