Erm ok,so is anyone else REALLY not ready for the next generation of consoles?!?

No i'm not ready i'm very happy with my 360 and PS3 i dont want a new console just yet maybe for another 2 years.

I actually waited quite a while to delve into this gen. I knew it would be my last one for a while.

Just got my 360 last year and getting a PS3 from Black Friday deals. I'd say I waited too. I hope it isn't until 2014 at least until a new system is out. I still have a giant stack of unopened games I am going through.

The curect gen consoles just in the last year have shoen waht they are capable for. So no we are not ready for the next gen.

Yes, I'm ready. The PS3 is 5 years old, and the XBOX 360 is 6 years old.

A new console will lead to better games than the PS3 and XBox360 can give us.

I've been ready for a while. In fact, I was ready as soon as I felt the controller lag on the 360, ps3 and Wii. I simply can't play with 1/8-1/4 second input delay. Hopefully that is the biggest improvement over the current generation.

I'm waiting for years for a next gen, I want consoles to make use of my 3D 1080p tv. It's a joke how PS3/x360 games look comprared to games on my Pc xD

I can certainly wait. I have too much of a back log of games to play.

I find that a lot of the graphics are already pretty good, but how many games this year alone have been knocked down for poor AI? I think that's where developers need to focus next. Not just making it look pretty, but making the game great to play IMO.

I just bought my ps3 this year and haven't really played it much because of school work so I'm definitely not ready for the next gen.

Very true. With the introduction of next gen console their would be next gen graphics with two generations old gameplay. There is so much to improve in gameplay yet, most seems to be too occupied with graphics. Don't get me wrong, games need to look good and atleast support HD and this already is achievable (Except for one console).

Well do what I do every generation. Wait two years then get the console. :)

considering the 3ds i think the better question is, are the developers ready?

if they make good games, i will buy them, period.

id own a move and kinect if they had good games and ill buy and ps4/xbox 720/wii u when they have good games (hopefully not all at the same time, or ill buy them when i have the money)

Far too many 'present gen' games to get through to be honest, it will take me years to get through my 'to play' list anyway..

But It certainly will be interesting to see what the next generation of consoles will have to offer when finally unvailed..

I wouldn't even consider purchasing a next gen consoles until the price dropped to arround £199 anyway, and judging by the speed prices fell this gen, that probably won't be for years either.

Anyway, hopefully by then, I'll be financially capable of building my dream gaming P.C, after eventually loosing interest in consoles.. We will see.
