I was wondering, the average game time for most games typically runs about 12 to 15 hours of gameplay. Some games go longer, up to 20 or more, and some are shorter. But have you ever beaten an entire game in a single sitting? Just curious, and if you have, what game(s)?

Just two.

-

Not sure what the average run times are for Ico or GoW, but I have gone through each in 2:45 give or take a few minutes. I know it took me 15-20 hours the first time I played Ico, but I was exploring. The first time with GoW, I think it was somehwere around 13 hours.

I beat the original Metal Gear Solid for PS1 in a marthon 12 hour session due to the fact that I lost my memory card right after I brought the game.

Well I would've asked my parents. But at least at that age I had an allowance... I wouldn't used that money.

Done a few different games in one sitting

Diablo 2 - had a launch LAN party and played it straight for 27 hours through to completion. Did another when LoD came out.

Heavy Rain - completed in one day - approx 10 hours playtime

Orange Box - In a 16 hour playthrough I completed Half-Life 2, Ep1, Ep2 and Portal - having tested these for months I could speed run through them - not first playthrough times.

Last time I did that was for Mortal Kombat. I went through the entire story campaign, on easy, in five-six hours in one setting.

I also completed Halo ODST on Legendary with three others in four hours.

Me, my brother and two of his friends played Halo: Reach(legendary) on launch day. 9 hours with one break(bathroom/drinks) near the end. Of course, I died first in the last stand- a single headshot about 17 seconds in.

Sorry. I don't mean to be cruel, but that's pretty funny. At least you beat the game on Legendary!

I was pretty pissed- we were making bets on who would last longest. The funny thing was that it was like, "BLAMBLAMBLAM GET SOME YOU SONS A B-(sees the enemy he knows is going to kill him *cue the super slow motion (FUUUU- face)*) In retrospect it was pretty funny- especially when someone asked "where's Zorro??" About 30 seconds later.

Hmm, never but then i have never been that kind of "kid" who could sit still for 10-15hours and just play a game, i have always had other things, girlfriends, friends, football, homework, school that sort.

I played the original Deus Ex over two days, in two sittings. Took me over 30 hours in total to finish (first play through). Good times.

Halo 3, the following weekend it came out four of us did a legendary LAN co-op run and finished it after about eight hours. Towards the end there, the final run was like a sporting event. We were all standing up and screaming at the TV, nearly running off the edges and all. Fun times.

I came close (about one level away from beating it) for RE5; my friend and spent 12 hours on it before we had to finally put it down and get some sleep.

The closest was beating Marvel Ulitmate Alliance and Marvel Ulitmate Alliance 2 back to back in a marathon session. Not very hard games but Back to back in 21 hours was my last marathron session back in 2010.

No. I've played games for over 10 hours at a time but I consider a "long" game as anything over 40 hours and a semi-long game as anything that's like 20+ hours. My desire to stay up for 20 hours in a row is zero.

I beat Custom Robo for Gamecube the first time I played it. I was helping a friend move and after we had finished he pulled out a TV and a Gamecube. We went to the Blockbuster (lol) and rented the game, but we had to play it straight through because he couldn't find his memory card, which we later found in the case for Wind Waker. That was probably a 10-12 hour session.
