While overall I thought the voices were good, in Final Fantasy X, everytime Rikku opened her mouth I wanted to stab my ears with a Q-tip, ya know?

Ninety Nine Nights steals the award for the wors voice acting. No synch. (lips movement where left from the japanese version), moronic dialogues etc.

I'm assuming nobody here's played Baten Kaitos?Greatgone12

Your not the only one. The voice acting in the first game was horrible, thankfully Origins had better voice work.

While some of the voice acting in games I play isn't that good, I wouldn't declare any of them "really bad". I still prefer bad voice acting to no voice acting at all. A lot of the games I tried to get into have been ruined by using subtitles and text boxes (Zelda series, etc) instead of voices.

Give RE1 a break XD it was a breakthrough for them to include VA in cutscenes. About SH games.... well the cutscenes had nothing and sh1 voice acting wasn't that bad...

There are always a few games that come to mind here, and they're never the typical ones.

Rygar has painfully bad voice acting. The game itself is pretty mediocre, but every time the characters speak...

Mario Sunshine. Is it because of FLUDD? Baby Bowser? The judge? Peach (I can't believe Cortana can stoop that low)? Or maybe it's Bowser, who sounds like he's voiced by the unemployed brother of the supervising texture artist.

Yuna in FFX makes me want to tear my ears off as well, due to the halting nature of her speech. I don't know if the voice actress was struggling to act through sedatives or what, but it's ridiculous, especially during those segments of the game where you're forced to listen to Yuna monologues. She's less painful in FFX-2, so someone must have given her notes or stopped slipping stuff in her water.

While the older games have there funny translations and quirky voice acting I have never heard anything as ear piercingingly awful as the female characters in Enchanted Arms. If I wanted to hear what they had to say and how they said it I would listen to my sister complain to my brother-in-law while trying to swallow my own face. Ughh.... *shakes head* I hated the english voice acting.

dead risings voice acting from the more crazy charachters sounded more like a japanese guy trying to do an american accent

everyone else is fine though, but i do wish they would make a better choice on voice acting in the rumored sequel. it just had such great political commentary then screwed it up with b-movie voice acting. idky they went for a b-movie feel when they made dead rising, its more reminiscent of dawn of the dead, which is highly regarded. (the remake anyway
