I have a PC with 8800GTX...it's not a question that my PC can run it. I'm undecided about which system I want Fallout 3 for...

PC:

Cheaper
Will look better since I don't have HDTV
FPS w/mouse and keyboard :)

360:

Good achievements
Can bring it to a friends house easily

Anything else to add? I really don't know...I think I'm leaning to PC but I'd like to see some feedback.

PC: MODS.

anything in the game that you don't like will be fixed within a month by some great mods. Anything you think is missing will be added and there will be hundreds of other mods.

Bethesda's games will always be better on PC until consoles let users mode their games

Question:

When a game says Games for Windows....what does that mean other than it being on the box and that is a game for Windows?

it's actually useless conjecture if your PC is running Vista. It may or may not work right.

It's something MS was doing to drum up PC sales but it never really caught on.

Would an nVidia 9600M GT be able to run Fallout 3 as well as a 360 or PS3?

Id say pc (assuming your pc can handle it). Better graphics, better gameplay, easier access to patches/mods.

Hooking a PC to a big tv screen had never been easier, PC gets the better graphics and mods, so there is absolutely no reason to go for the console version, unless you cannot afford a PC which can run the game to begin with :P

I have a 8800GT and it runs games like Oblivion/Mass Effect quite a bit better than my xbox.

The real question is, how bad will the load times be on 360? They were pretty terrible in Oblivion and Mass Effect. That reason alone is why I am leaning towards the PC version.

It depends on the pc version's hardware requirements whether I get it for pc or PS3. The advantage of the pc version for me is I can put more hours in. I simply cannot lock down the TV for the long hours that this game requires.

Not bad at all, we are talking about a smaller more much more concentrated area...I think one load at the beginning will basically be all you have to do.

Good choice.

I have to agree withSmerlus. Mods are huge on PC especially with Bethesda. I haven't heard about any mod tools for Fallout 3 however. Anybody know if there will be a similar tool to the TES Contruction set for Oblivion?

TEC Construction set would be nice...

The only mod I used for Oblivion TBH was the camera tool to make 3rd person lose its elasticity.

Im definetly going for the PC version myself. A higher end PC will run the game a lot better, it will be cheaper and of course theres the mods and patching which add tons to the games lifespan and playability.

I'm getting it for the 360, Oblivion control better on the 360 because it was made with a controller in mind, Fallout 3 is in the same boat as well, I could really care if I can ran a game at insain res. if the controls suck for it, I hated Oblivion controls in teh 360, personally I will get it for the 360 unless you can use a controller for it on the pc, then pc it is.

the 360 wired controller is compatible with PC... and if you have just the wireless you can buy a PC adapter for it so you can use it on the PC
