Nnnnnnews time children!

IGN has new details on the upcoming Fallout 3 DLC.

They have a lot of details on Operation Anchorage, and some little nuggets about The Pitt, and Broken Steel. The most interesting thing is that Broken Steel will get rid of the level cap. Operation Anchorage will cost 800MS points and last about 4-5 hours.

Oh and:

"Based on a lot of feedback, we're going to allow the player to continue on after the main quest ends in the Broken Steel DLC. While a lot of details still have to be sorted, this will allow the player to continue on and play in the Wasteland enjoying the side and freeform quests, along with any new downloadable content we have planned in the future."

:D... so awesome.

The G.E.C.K. is available, so hop to it PC owners.

Indeed, i cannot wait. As soon as i completed Fallout3, i felt that i could have easily played alot more, so i'm glad Bethesda are bringing out more content.

I found it interesting that Fallout 3 made it seem like you could go beyond level 20, so I'm not surprised that they broke the level cap. Great news overall :D

yay at getting rid of one of my biggest complaints about the game. The rest of the info looks good too.

I was a level 20 even before doing all the main quests so I'm glad the level cap is removed. Awesome news.

My reading comprehension suxxors... I guess they are just raising the level cap, not removing it completely, in any case, it is good news.

Nice, that makes sense.

I'm on my way to doing almost everything that can be done in one playthrough of Fallout 3. What an outstanding game!

One of the things that appealed to me most about this game was having lived in the DC metro area and recognizing a lot of the sights as I traveled the wasteland...everything from the obvious to the mundane (like Dupont Circle station, which i passed through just about every day).

That being said, Anchorage doesn't interest me a fraction as much as the Pitt, considering when I moved away from DC, I moved to Pittsburgh. That's the DLC i'll be eagerly awaiting. This looks cool, too, though. And if I can make a request for future DLC...Omaha. Might as well hit all the major cities I've lived in, and you can always play off the fact that in a Nuclear War, Omaha would be one of the first areas hit, thanks to the purported missile silos and Offut, among other things (like the fact the only bombers to ever drop a nuclear bomb were from there). I'd say Philadelphia, too, except that I think the themes would be too similar to what they've already done in DC.

Now that I'm done readin the article I just have a few gripes.

#1: Bethesda. What happened to making the expansions seamless? In Morrowind you had people coming to kill you and a little bit of investigative work to find out why which led to Tribunal. Then through rumours you found out about the happenings of Bloodmoon.

I hate Oblivion's take on this where things just pop up in your journal and you know where they are.

They could have gone the route of asking a PC and then finding out where the place is at or even a radio station frequency popping up but it seems like they're going the Oblivion route and your character is just going to know where to go.

#2 I really wish these three additions were in just a full expansion pack type thing. I know they have three totally different subjects and plot lines but i would love to have them all at once.

Anyways I love IGN's jab at the Horse Armor. I'm surprised they don't have dogmeat armor at least just for a joke. It would have been a nice free christmas download worth a chuckle.

I want trophies. :( (I know I am never getting the DLC.)dvader654

I know they are coming, I just don't know when. I'm enough of a trophy whore that I might buy Fallout 3 for the PS3 just to get them... although I'd rather get the PC version at some point.

Looking at your trophy list you are no where near the whore I am. :P

This is true. I've spent too much time with games that don't have them... oh and if Sony actually releases Lumines today, it is on. It is on like Tron. A game is coming that I can beat you at. I'm throwing down the gauntlet. Those leaderboards will be mine.

I never played Lumines before, depending on how much it is I will get it.dvader654

As I've said elsewhere, it is my favorite game. It is the best Tetris type game ever. It is worth it at any price.:P

Hey one of those looks like it takes place before the apocalypse or whatever. Do I see blue skys? Awesome... it would be quite a shocking difference to mess around in the world before it **** all over itself lol. As much as I hate DLC content I gotta snag this, Fallout 3 has easily been one of my favorite games in years and I look forward to the new content too much.
