Sadly, I have to go with Bloodborne. That's not to say Bloodborne is a bad game, it is AWESOME!! It brings Lovecraft themes into a dark world from the creators of Dark Souls and while I was worried about not having a shield to use in the game, the dodging is hella fun! especially during intense boss fights. The game with dlc lasted me a good 70 hours with exploring all the chalice dungeons, platinuming it, and finding all the weapons and some gear. I'll get back to it eventually.
The reason I start out with Sadly is because Fallout 4 had so much going for it, especially given how they cleaned up at E3 almost a year ago. If I remember correctly, after their announcement and that 14 minute introduction video of the game, Gamespot and all other sites were going crazy about the game. It was such a big deal because many of us still remember how awesome Fallout 3 and New Vegas were when they came out and shattered our minds with the quests and post-apocalyptic open world atmosphere....
Then Fallout 4 actually came out and it was a huge letdown in the quests department. Sure you can mod your weapons, the gunplay is much smoother like an FPS, you can build settlements and make cool creative looking structures, the radio has more oldies music and includes some classics from the previous game, the protagonist is voiced...but it is as shallow as Skyrim is with either retrieving stuff for an NPC or killing enemies for an NPC for some caps or a mod or whatever. It doesn't feel like a true RPG anymore sadly.
So yeah, go for Bloodborne. It's harder, frustrating even, and it is technically shorter (although NG+ modes will add oodles of hours for the difficulty ramping up), but it is more CREATIVE. And that is what is missing from Bethesda's newer games (Fallout 4 and Skyrim for the most part).
