I just finished fallout 3, wich has become one of my all time favourite games with Half life, Flashback and mass effect trilogy.

I was excited with New Vegas. That change from grey to orange, the western feeling, the vast improvement in gameplay but....

I suffer from a lot of bugs. Not the ones like enemies getting stuck in walls, but really game breakers one. Like my first visit to primm, where I got suddently inmortal and enemies couldn't kill me. Dialogue options in missions wich dissapear....

So...now I don't know what it is a bug, or not. the enemies has a lot , and I mean a lot of loot. tones of things in their bodies. Besides I already have a granade launcher, an amazing flamethrower...

Is that normal?

By the way...The dialogues are better, but they lack the hilarious sense of black humor of 3?

Thanks in advance!

What machine are you playing it on?

I've played the game thru several times on xbox 360, and only encountered minor bugs, and not much of them either.

On PS3 the game was bit more unstable, and crashed now and then, but nothing very serious in that version either...

Amount of loot is about the same as in F3, I think.

it was buggy as hell on pc when it launched.

after about the third time it screwed with my saved game - kindly inserting a death claw that definitely was nowhere near me when i saved and would stand there with a slightly perplexed look on its face for a moment or two before mauling me to death - i ended up getting the 360 version which was much more stable, but still far from perfect

@henrythefifth: on Pc. It is really buggy. But at least the biggest bug was in Primm. So Im quite enjoying my 15 hours. I don't know If I want keep playing it., Thought. I love everything, but there is a major flaw I just can't get passed: no enough enemies.

I know it's not far cry, But there is no reason to have 50 weapons, and two overpowered companions, if I can cross the desert almost without any single encounter. It's just boring, and it doesn't payoff when I really get to the good conversations and characters So, Any Mood to make that game less travell enjoying the views and talking alot? because Like I said...I already have like 50 weapons in my inventory and I didn't bough any......

too bad.New Vegas could have been a masterpiece and a really obsessive time sucker for me.

I have fallout nv complete edition. There are definitely a few bugs and I agree that there are a lack of enemies.

However it was only after I really gave the game a chance (including playing the dlc) that I realized it's a pretty decent game.

Also, I played on the second hardest difficulty (on survivor mode) for a better challenge. [Doing this makes all the grinding/looting collecting worthwhile and necessary.]

The final battle is hard af!

The game is a mess. I had falloutwikia bookmarked so I could go to the bug section for quests because I had to refer to it often. The game is fun, which is why I kept playing it. But it's one of my least favourite Fallout entries. The bugs really hinder the immersion. It would probably be my favourite Fallout without the bugs. Real shame.

That is true. The map is pretty devoid of enemies. There are few areas with lots of lizard, and other areas with lots of deathclaws, but that's about it.

The vaults are still very interesting, and filled with nasties. And when you go against Caesar and his legions, you will find plenty to fight.

-indeed, once you piss off caesar, he will start sending assassin teams after you. This gives you masses of XP and loot every time you gotta fight them. Nice.

@henrythefifth: Well, I think I going to fight against my instincts an Join Caesar faction. RNC has a lot of "outpusts" so, I have a lot of enemies if I go against them. Also I could go against both factions in the independent "road", just getting the minor faction of my side.
I have readed guides and main campaigns for all the factions seems pretty much the same.. And there is a bigger problem with the incusistency of Enemies difulty anyway...

I don't want to make a drastic change to the game, adding the "moster wars" mod. What do you think?

I havent used mods in the game...

Never joined Cesar's legion, so I dont know how that will go. But there are certain main characters that hate the legion so you might have trouble with them.

The main storyline inside the New Vegas casinos requires you to get to the Cesar camp, either by force or by guile, so you can use your affiliation with the legion to your advantage in that particular mission. Other than that, joining the legion will not much change the storylines inside New Vegas.

How far are you recruiting other casinos to you, inside Vegas area? I found those missions great fun, maybe the best part of the game.

Hmm, have not experienced any game breaking bugs like that on PC

But have you tried the obvious ones, Try without mods, buy the game etc.... etc...
