Wow looks alot like the original Far Cry, I like how you can heal yourself no medkits this time. They're going for realism this time.

I think I'll wait for some better quality video before I start comparing to Crysis. :P

It does look quite cool though.

I have to admit until I saw this video I was really sceptical about this title seeing as Crysis is kind of the sequel to Far Cry since its the same developers (only they lost some of the rights). However after having seen that video demonstration I have to say that the game looks absolutly brilliant, it makes me afraid to think what kind of PC you need to get that running. When all the grass started burning, I was in shock. Fantastic looking game and I really like the idea behind the health system.

Going to be keeping a close eye on this one though Spring 2008 sounds a little too soon (unless they mean Q2 which they probably do). The game does almost look on par with Crysis I will have to admit though I think its fair to say we will need some proper footage of it to make a proper call, I think Crysis is still the front-runner, though of course this is Pre-Alpha.

I'm done with straightforward FPS's unless they have an extensive and ambitious multiplayer mode (just a rule I came up with to give me an excuse to play Halo 3), but I have to admit the game at least looks gorgeous.

I think its too early to tell. So far, I am still very skeptical about Far Cry 2, since what they have shown us is very selective. On a broader scale, we all know how amazing Crysis's engine is, as we have seen it in real time, and in an unrestricted demo'ing environment. For all I know, these video clips may look pretty from the angle they are shot, but if I turn around a corner it's scars may start showing up.
If Far Cry 2's development team is able to create a more dynamic and graphically extensive engine then CryEngine 2, I would be extremely extremely suprised.

It's looking a bit more spectacular than Crysis, but the technology is still unproven. Still, another FPS to add to the pile.

Wow, this is pathetic. This is nothing but a lame Crysis rip-off - hell, this is Crysis just without all the cool stuff like the nano suit and the ability to kick enemies with chickens. And it doesn't look as good as Crysis, not even close. But I wouldn't expect anything better from Ubisoft.

Both videos are of poor quality, but you can still easily see how much better Crysis really looks. This video is also a good reminder that Crysis has more to offer than lush tropical environments.

Yeah yeah, save it. Far Cry 2 will more than likely end up on consoles so that a pure console gamer like you will get to enjoy it. :)

Yeah that was really my motive for posting it, Far Cry 2 looks extremely boring so far, in comparison to Crysis.

Some realism. Pulling out bullets with pliers on the go just retracted that statement. I did like the in-game map.
