Favorite game soundtrack/music

Many games have incredibly good soundtrack and music, but some games just stand out. I created this thread so we can discuss our favorite gaming tracks, and show people them to people.

There are many games with good soundtracks, but two standouts are Final Fantasy 8 and the Metal Gear Solid theme songs. The theme song in MGS is just so awesome. Fits the game perfectly, and really sets the mood. It's just all around perfect.

The only songs I can play in my head and still think they sound good, from any game I've played through the years, are Mega Man 1 - Cutman stage and FF3 - Terra's Theme.

I like FFX's soundtrack,particually "Zanarkand". I like MGS soundtrack too, Those two music themes at the ending of MGS3.

Golden Sun, Final Fantasy, Castlevania are my trhee favorite soundtracks of a series.

I love game music to a very deep level (it's what got me interested in music as a whole in the first place), but I get a little sad to see a thread like this every week, which consists of little more than people listing off soundtracks that they like (poll-type threads aren't allowed in the GGD), and providing links to mp3s of game music soundtracks (which is, for the most part, illegal with few exceptions, also not allowed), instead of having people actually discuss the music to some degree.

It's a great topic, but hopefully we can keep from just listing off soundtracks/games in the future...hopefully.
