Golden Eye. You should have Ghost Busters up there.

Aladdin on the Mega Drive/PC (with the PC version being the better one)

Out of the list I would say Goldeneye, but Super Empire Strikes Back should be on there, along with the Genesis Aladdin. Batman Returns was also very good on the snes.

Spiderman 1 and 2 were really good. I thought Alien V predator was made in the early 90s though>

I would have to say Golden Eye. The Warriors is a great 2nd place though.

There have been many iterations, but i chose the one i thought was best the 1999 version which i still play, i thought the NES one was just okay, the gameboy one was also mediocre, and the atari jaguar version, never played it

I didn't know about a NES one. I thought the Jaguar version was the original.

This is far too broad of a subject to whittle it down to 5 choices only, especially those 5 choices.

Thoughthey are technically comic book tie-ins, I'd say:

"HULK" (2003)Film tie-in. (PS2 or Xbox - NGC ver. stinks)

"Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction" (PS2 or Xbox)

"Ultimate Spiderman" (PS2)

"Ghost Rider" (PS2)

"The Punisher" (PS2 or Xbox)

None of those. Mine are:

1. Alien vs. Predator (the 1994 Capcom arcade beat-em-up, not the FPS games)
2. Stargate (SNES)
3. Super Return of the Jedi (SNES)
4. Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures (SNES)
5. The Warriors (PS2, Xbox)

As for "lord of the rings", I actually didn't like any of the beat'em'eup type ones, but the "LOTR:Third Age" rpg was actually decent.

other than that, I'd probably go with the SNES star wars trilogy.

That game has a super-ramped up difficulty, does it not? I seem to remember reading it was fairly punishing. A good game, but more difficult than "usual"...

Wasn't that bad, I got to the final stage when I was 11 or 12. The only bosses that really gave me trouble were Wicket's stage and the Emperor. I never could beat the game though, that mode-7 Death Star escape tunnel always got me. Now, Super Empire Strikes Back? That was a ridiculously hard game. Made Contra III look easy.

That's just part of that era. A LOT of 16-bit games are punishingly hard.

I realize. Most of my adolescent years were spent gaming in the 16-bit era. Super Empire was more difficult due to archaic design, but it probably couldn't be helped, a la the original Metroid or Zelda. Super Jedi had much more polished controls, resulting in a noticeably easier game. That's not to say it was a walk in the park, but it didn't have control-related issues. In an age where most movie-based games were mediocre, it was not only top-notch as a licensed game, but held its own as a damn good platformer regardless as well.

Well, the game is made by SunSoft, no wonder it has an awesome soundtrack. And BTW, the first level soundtrack is a masterpiece of awesome SunSoft music

I've been hanging onto my games lately, but I got rid of a lot of my cart-based games back when disc started to emerge as the preferred format. But I've gone back and re-purchased a few like "Twin Cobra" on Genesis, and I am blown away at what I USED to get through back when I was younger! I have turned fat and complacent in my gaming skills when I compare what I used to play through from the Atari 2600 up through the PS1 to today's games...

That was a hard one, I'm a bigger fan of the 007 game, but I LOVE the AvP movie (I prefer Daniel Craig to Pierce Brosnan).

I would have gone for Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone and Chamber of Secrets both on the PS1. But I would also say that Star Wars BattleFront was my favourite too
