Favorite "Bad Game" You Loved Because it was Cheap

Kind of a jumbled title, but whatever.

Post a pic of your favorite game you bought cheap! Keep in mind, these are games you probably wouldn't have enjoyed if you purchased them at full price!

^^ Dark Sector is probably mine. I really enjoyed the theme of the game, and I always have a soft spot for Russians and Gas Masks :oops:

I thought Too Human was enjoyable. Not a great game, but not as bad as a majority of the reviews made it out to be.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. Playing through the campaign with my neighbor is some of the most fun I've had this gen.

Shellshock 2, it's so bad it's good. The laughs were definitely worth the €5; I spent on it.

You don't feel that price point can effect how much enjoyment you can get out of something?

For example, I love playing Angry Birds, because it was essentially free (I think the full game costs $1 or something). Slap a $60 price tag on it, and I would probably consider the game a waste of my time and money.

would have enjoyed it regardless, but rather pay on the budget scale for something with out of date graphics and ganeplay.

I got Alpha Protocol for $20 and it was actually really good. I can't see myself paying full price for it, but I've replayed it several times and I enjoy the good parts of it enough that the unpolished mechanics don't matter as much.

Tony Hawk's Project 8. Was a fun game that I paid 20 bucks for new (about two years ago). Definitly wouldn't have been worth 60 bucks though...

I love darksiders, but I would feel ripped off if I bought it at full price. However, I don't really think I have bought a "bad game." I've found almost every game I own to be enjoyable. (And the ones I have played I didn't find enjoyable I had borrowed from a friend anyways!)

Mercenaries 2, I got it for $17.. it was much to short and easy to pay full price for.

I bought Wet for the PS3 for a couple of quid, and after struggling at the beginning of it found it to be quite a good game and really liked it.

Alter Echo. I think it was released at a price of £5, and I still had a blast with it.

I don't like "bad" games just because they are cheap. It could be $0.01 and I still won't play it if it sucks. I won't even play it if it sucks and it's free. Necrovision is one example of a free game that I could care less about. So, Dark Sector wasn't a bad game. Because if it was bad, you wouldn't have enjoyed it for what it was. The ratings for it aren't bad either. Just Average. Even I liked it to some point. I completed the game when it first came out.

My point is, the topic makes absolutely no sense. It would make more sense to title it as: A game you bought cheap and ended up loving it. Or - A game you thought was bad but you bought it because it was cheap.

Hmmm... this is a tough question for me since I almost never buy games 'cheap' (I usually just get them full-priced if I ever want them)... I'd have to say Oneechanbara Vortex (Bikini Samurai Squad in English-speaking territories). Got it for 2000 JPY (about 24 USD?), and really enjoyed it for its campy "so-bad-it-was-good" factor.
