Whats your favorite way of playing GBA games?

I've been through all the 5 choices listed and am currently using a micro as thats all I have left.

I got the original at launch then sold it off for the SP when that came out.

Somewhere along the line I got a GB player for the GC and enjoyed that alot, more than the GBA handheld!

Eventually I sold my SP for a DS and my GB Player was sold off along with my GC when the Wii was announced to be bc.

Theeeeeen when the DSI came out I upgraded my DS and bought a used micro for like $20 and now use that!

The Micro easily.

It was suprisingly comfortable, had a great looking screen, and is really tiny so it's best for portability. Also, my 20th anniversary edition is sexy. More sexy than any other handheld.

The only one I had was the classic GBA when it was first released. Played it for years.

SP no question. I borrowed my friends GB player a couple years ago and since he never plays his gamecube or GBA games I still have it haha. It's cool but I have no problem playing on the small screen. And I find the gamecube controller not totally to my liking for GBA games. When I first got my DS lite I always played my GBA games on it. I loved the screen for some reason. I can't describe accurately, but if you've played GBA games on a DS before you know what I am talking about. They look sharper. I loved this at first. But now it's all SP for me. The controls for the DS aren't perfect, especially for the GBA platformers because A and B on a DS are slightly awkward (thats why NSMB used A and X) And I prefer the smoother visuals on the SP screen. I actually take my DS and my SP on trips because I can only play GBA games on an SP. Nothing else feels right.

my favorite version of the gameboy advance has to be gba sp because it is backward compatible with all old gameboy games and has a lit screen

Original for design, sp for backlit, but the DS player has a much brighter screen and the colours look very vibrant, so that's where my vote goes

Oh man, only one other person voted for the Game Boy Player?:( The Game Boy Player was the best thing I ever bought for my Cube.

My favorite of the portables would be the original GBA. Although it really sucked not having a backlight, the system has a nice design, and is very comfortable.

I wouldn't really call the DS's GBA-player, nor the GC's GBA-player, a GBA itself. But if you're talking quality, definitely the DS.

If you want my opinion on my favourite, I'm going to say the original GBA.

I would say it's a tie between the game boy micro and the sp. I used to have a ds lite, and i didn't really like playing my gba games on it, because it felt weird playing my games on a top screen. Then I got a game boy micro, and while it was small and comfortable, it was really uncomfortable press L, R, and the fire button to make samus in metroid fusion point to the ground and shoot. Then I got a game boy advance sp, and i liked better for plahying the game.

Yeah, I originally planned it for just the 3 GBA's but then I saw I had 2 more polling slots and realisedmanyppl play GBA games on their DS and GC.

It just made sense to have those two options in the end!

I never bought an SP, but I like that one the best just because of the back lighting and rechargable batteries. You have no idea how happy I was when Nintendo finally started including those. I also really like the GBA Player for GCN, and I still own my original GBA model. If I ever play GBA games anymore, I just use a DS for it though.

GBA SP2 is my favorite GBA.DeafNYCPlayer

Yeah I kinda remember there being like a SP version 1.5 or something with a stronger light!

I never owned one cause I got the SP at launch and it didn't seem like a big enough upgrade, I also didn't even know they existed!

First time I saw one was at a GS being used as a demo and I was like "I dont remember my SP being anywhere near that bright?!"

Either way I think it falls into the SP category.

I always liked the way it felt to.

It definetly had the best feel out all GBA's imo!

If only it had a backlight......

I almost got it modded with a light but then the SP was announced.

The MICRO is so sharp...it's great. The Ice Blue SP with extra brightness level would come second.

GBA SP. It was such an incredible improvement, and could also play Gameboy and GBC games.
