Favourite Boss Fight(s) of all time

SNAKE MGS 4 ORR THAT THING AT THE END OF GEARS OF WAR , i forgot its name but you had to give it like 20 headshots and in mgs 4 they take away the weapons and you have to have a fist to fist with snake [spoiler] lol

The final battle with Vergil in DMC3 always springs to mind when people mention good boss fights.

The boss fight against Meta Ridley, near the end of Metroid Prime 1.

Why? Because it's epic.

And this isn't my favorite boss fight of all time - just one out of many...

every boss fight in mgs4 besides laughing octopuss and crying wolf one was super annoying and the other one was time consuming

Irenicus in Baldur's Gate 2. It was great as I consider the character to be one of the best developed villains in a video game. From the same game, I liked how Yoshimoko (I forget his exact name, but something like that) became a traitor late in the game. My jaw dropped as I said, "You s.o.b!" I didn't see that one coming. Great thing about it, he was a boss which, uh, you personally levelled and geared up. I made him monstrously powerful too. Had me scared.

The end in Jade Empire against your character's former master. Having fought through the majority of the game to save his butt only to find out he was an evil punk made me seethe :P

Crash Bandicoot on the Original Playstation, Neo Cortex's assisstant. I forgot his name - but he drank potion and turned into a hulk-lookalike. I don't know why he is one of my favourite boss fights, probably because I was young then, and I had so much fun fighting him.

Another of my favourites was all the fights from Ratchet & Clank! Yes, most definately! They were always so cartoony and funny, and also fun to battle against.
