Well, we always had an Atari 2600 but it wasn't mine, it was my cousin's. My first console was the SNES with Donkey Kong Country. I was 8 years old at the time and I had saved up all my money to buy it.
The Playstation was my first consolewhen I was14 years old (mom refused to let me a console when I was young). It included Ape Escape, Final Fantasy IX, WWF Smackdown and Marvel Superheroes vs Street Fighter (was scratched and doesn't work anymore). I did have a decent PC back in 2000 with Age of Empires and I did play a lot of games at other peoples houses.
My family had an NES, but the first system that was technically my own was a Sega Genesis. I hardly even played the thing. It's still in my house somewhere.
technically the first one i had was an snes but i shared that with my sister because she asked if we could have on for christmas. the first one that was my own would be a gameboy pocket, but in household console terms it would be the original playstation. for the snes we had killer instinct and donkey kong country, for the gameboy pocket it was tetris attack, and for the ps1 it was tekken.
And your first game for that console? I think it was Sega Saturn, and the first game was Nights into Dreams or N64/Super Marioblank33
Gah my age is going to obvious ... my first gaming console was an Atari. The first game I owned was Pac-Man, or Missile Command I can't recall which one came first.
NES. I still remember moving my whole body to the right trying to get Mario to make his jumps. Last Nintendo console I ever had. When Sonic and Streets of Rage came out, goodbye Nintendo.
my first console was gamecube. Although when i was born my granfather had the NES,SNES,and Ps1 and every sega sytem made up to 1996. My first game was slugfest 2003
My first gaming platform was either a Gameboy with Batman and WW: Fortress of Fear, or my Sega Megadrive II (genesis) with Sonic 2 and Sylvester and Tweety. I don't really remember, I was about 4 years old at the time.
I'll show my age a bit, but the first console game I played was my dad's pong then I got an Atari 2600 for christmas one year. The games I played the most on the Atari I would say would be Haunted House, Pacman, Pole Positon, Combat, Robotron, Frogger, among many others. I still own the console and it still work. I have close to around 40 games(including the bad one) I would say for it. What a great classic console.
Atari 2600/Commodore 64. The Commodore and the 8086 IBM were the best of the first. Choplifter and Test Drive by Accolade(what happened to them?!) were the games.
my first game console i ever owned was the n64 and my first game was supermario 64 i was crazy about mario vs bowser 2 times i beat king bowser 1 the dark world 2 in the fire world.
I got a Gameboy Color when I was 5 and my first non portable console was the xbox. Great memories about the xbox because of the time and place when i played it.
I got a GB and Sega Gamegear when I was really young. But imo, handhelds don't really count so I guess a Sega Genesis was my first but it was a handy-down kinda system. My first brand new system was a ps1.
The NES, it was awesome. A birthday gift from my dads boss, gave us about 30 games and I still have the system, controllers and the almighty power glove. The Gold cartridge Zelda was my fist video game addiction, soon followed by SMB and Total Recall. The first system I ever purchased myself was the N64 with Super Mario 64, Goldeneye, Buck Bumble, every Cruisin' game and a slew of others I can harldy recall.

I dont have every systyem by every company, but I do have every Nintendo and Sony system.
I had the good fortune to be born just at the right time to see the birth of the home console pretty much. My first was an Atari 2600 and i still have it to this day (because im a horder)
