Does anyone know if there are any games that contain blind firing a la gears of war/r6 vegas, but from 1st person? I haven't seen one yet. Also discuss the practicality of it, please. I myself think it would be weird...but I would have to try to know for sure I suppose. GO!

Killzone 2 has it. They demoed it in the E3 2007 demo of the game.

Closest you'll come to that in First person is to lean to the left or right from behind a wall or object.

Heh, that would be blind fire, wouldn't it? :P I can't imagine you actually seeing your target from around a corner if you're going to be in FPS, so blind fire would only prove to be a waste of ammo in my opinion.

You don't see it very often because you need to have a least some clue of where things are in order to blind fire correctly. A good soldier can use his hearing to figure out where things are that he can't see, but you can't simulate that in a game, hence the reason you only see blind firing from a third-person perspective.

it is, but blindfiring is in third person. In fact, anytime you take cover the game goes into third person, if i remember right.

I'll just like to point out that games can simulate hearing where things are. I'm playing Left 4 Dead with a good set of headphones, I can hear when a hunter is around the corner, on the floor above me or in the distance and what direction it's coming from. As long as you got proper surrond sound headphones and the game developers make proper use of sound (which all good games do these days) you'll find yourself wishing you could blind fire around that corner so you won't have to risk being pounced instead.
