I recall being truly impressed when I first played Morrowind. It was the first game to have realistic looking water using pixel shaders.

half-life 2, couldnt stop watching the first gameplay videos. counter-strike source too. man i couldnt WAIT to get those games, whew

Final Fantasy 3 on the Snes(or FF6 according to the youngsters) was the first huge leap in graphics that I can remember. The first time I saw CGI on the PS1 I was pretty amazed as well. The first Warhawk blew me away too.
