Lord of the Rings Online? I dunno, that was a book right? It's probably got a story in there somewhere. It's a game though, so don't expect much. If you really enjoy a good story and whatnot, maybe pick up a book or rent a new movie?

There are plenty of games with good stories mate

Eh, that's questionable. Video game stories are decent at best, compared to movies and especially books. Games just don't have the proper stage to tell a really moving story, because they have to incorporate interactivity in to the mix. That drastically limits what can be told and how they tell it in a video game.

I strongly disagree there... Mass Effect, Journey, Final Fantasy X, Last of Us, etc. Those are superior stories mate

The reason I've never played ANY of the games you just listed is because of the way I define a game. I'm not interested in a story when I am shopping for games, that's why I overlooked these titles when they were released, and subsequently never played them in my lifetime.

Then you are doing yourself a huge disservice. Those games have amazing stories and i would consider them just as good if not better than movies

The ICO

Shadow of the Colossus Collection

Papo & Yo

I second this.

I'd add Journey.

If people are just playing games for the gameplay, they are missing much imho

To The Moon. You'll cry... a lot.
