Games with the worst voice acting.

Spiderman Web of Shadows. The game starts really good. They make spiderman seem like the ultimate superhero in the intro of the game....... Until he spoke. His voice literally made everyone in the room laugh everytime he spoke.

Star Ocean The Last Hope. Lymle is the most dumbest character in RPG history.

Anyways, any games that have terrible voice acting?

As much as I love them (and you need to only look at my name to guess), Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn and Path or Radiance have absolutely dreadful voice acting.

I found Vanille from Final Fantasy XIII to be awful as well. Don't even get me started on Leafos from Viva Piñata...

Arc Rise Fantasia on the Wii. Came in looking for a decent RPG, left with my ears in my hand and blood coming out the side of my head.

Shining tears. The elf chick sounds like an orc.

Oblivion. It had like.....3 voice actors, everybody sounded the same. When the female Orcs sound like Linda Carter, you know something is f*cked up.

Dark Star One. It was clear the voice actors weren't English speakers, the voiceovers were hilarious "Yes, you are having permissions to land."

FO:NV. Sunny sounded like she was doped up on NyQuil.

And of course there's the famous "All your base are belong to us."

I don't know if it is the worst, but when it comes to bad voice acting, Barry in Resident Evil is my favorite.

He really is. Most bad voice acting, like Resident Evil, has at least some entertainment value but male Shepard in Mass Effect makes me cringe to the point of not even playing the game.

yeah, star ocean 4 was really bad. its hard to say that many characters in tales of symphonia were voiced well, but some of those side characters were truly terrible. like i really couldnt believe anyone on the tales team honestly thought "yeah, that works. next character" anime nod or not.

however, i have a thing for bad voice acting in baten kaitos: eternal wings. the guy who voiced the main character was ridiculously far off. it wasnt that he would just be flat or something. he would put these bizarre intonations on lines that gave them completely different meanings. either the sound guys werent giving him the right context or he just came in drunk. thats to say nothing of the side roles (although ill admit that melodia was awesome).

If we are talking about the main series, as in I-XIV (not counting the spinoffs, side-games, etc), we didn't hear any kind of voice acting until Final Fantasy X, which really didn't have bad VA, except for maybe Tidus. But the truth is, I liked Tidus as a hero in the game, so I didn't mind his acting as much...until that laughing scene with Yuna happened. Would have loved to be a fly on the wall in the room with whoever came up with that idea and why they chose that scene to be in the game. Not sure about FFXII, since I quickly dismissed it as an offline MMORPG (which is exactly what it is), but FFXIII had atrocious voice-acting. It was just god-awful.

I don't remember any, but now that you mentioned Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, I remembered. Plus, Golden Axe: Beast Rider.

Shenmue.

Don't get me wrong. Shenmue is a REALLY good game. That game's a classic, it was a system seller for the Dreamcast.

But the voice acting is so bad it's funny. I could've done a better job.

The voice acting is almost on a Birdemic level of bad.

If you don't know what Birdemic is, it's the worst indie movie of all time. Look it up on Youtube. It's so bad it's funny.

Super Mario Sunshine has a special place in my heart for its truly awful, soul-suckingly bad voice acting, and proved nothing except that Nintendo has no place giving any character a voice in their games.DJ_Lae

And let's not forget about the awesome guys that made Arma 2. The programmers must have also had to do the voice acting, and even then that'd be called phoning it in.

Of the current gen games I've played Star Ocean 4 was the worst.

Many of the early Playstation games were much worse though (Megaman 8, Grandia, Castlevania SOTN, etc.)

ArmA II haves the worst voice acting I've ever heard, it sounds like if the actors were robots. Also, they are way too enthusiastic on every situation, even when they rescure a tortured woman.
