I agree about Crysis not needing a multiplayer. The singleplayer in this game was great.

I thought some games (like Resident Evil 5) would have been better if they didn't have multiplayer.

I think that Crysis 2's multiplayer is pretty full-featured though. I'm having a lot of fun with it.

It depends... how long is this game? I'm seeing some coming out that are well under 10 hours... in that case, i'd rent it. If it's something really good that I can take my time on (RPG style, long... but good game, or RTS) then yeah, totally worth my 60 bucks.

Yeah, but multiplayer can add a lot to a game like Call of Duty or Red Dead Redemption where you can earn things for advancing... and I want to play Mortal Kombat online. I've never had a multiplayer Mortal Kombat game, and I don't really want MK vs. DC.

Yea definitely agree with you. A lot of people here are speaking as if multiplayer doesn't matter at all, but I definitely think it adds a good value to a game.

Without multiplayer (and sometimes even with it) I would rarely buy a brand-new game these days unless it is a massive RPG.

As long as it has an interesting singleplayer, I'd play it purely for that.

>See Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas, all games I'd gladly pay full price for.

Sure why not but I'm certainly not going to deride multiplayer as I personally love it. I say the more the merrier.
