I never could get into Link's Awakening after playing Zelda III for the SNES. It just wasn't the same since it wasn't in color

I'm saying Super Mario Land for now cause I own all three but haven't had a chance to play Metriod 2 or Zelda yet.

I just finished replaying Zelda on gameboy and remembered though an old game you still had to know how to solve puzzled, (e.g.) reading the book in the library to get the sequence for the cemetery, to get either the blue or red suits, and the same for the windfish egg maze. Great Game for its time.

i went with zelda, its one of the greatest game boy games i ever played. theres no way il ever forget that game.. super mario land was ok, never thought it to be brilliant.

also i never played metroid II so i cant really comment on that...

I've never played Metroid, but I can say that Zelda was vastly superior to Mario Land. Super Mario Land 2 was much better than the original, and would be a better game to compare with Zelda.

Link's Awakening. it was charming, silly, had a flying rooster, and it had all of those mario cameo's that just made it an awesome play. Ive played all of the mario lands, i think 2 was the best, and Metroid 2 ive started, but havent beaten, but its pretty good, but my vote has to go for Link's awakening

I acknowledge that many people consider Link's Awakening to be one of the greatest Zelda titles of al time, but I thought it was only okay.

Super Mario Land was cool, but it never really felt like a "real" Mario game.

Metroid II was probably the coolest game I owned for the Gameboy, so that's what I went with. I think if more people had actually played Metroid II, it would be scoring a little higher in the polls.
