So.. trying to decide between buying Doom 3, or left4dead 2 (For PC of course). Which has better gameplay value.. which will last me longer?

I want some good FIRST PERSON SHOOTERs with goodSINGLEPLAYERcontentLike bioshock1\2 .

(unlike the others like Battlefield Bad Company 2 which mainly target the multiplayer)

I saw metro 2033 and borderlands good FPS. Can someone suggest some more good recent FPS games with long singleplayer content?

I've never had anything to do with the horror genre, so whats a good start? I have a PS3 and 360. Please, nothing too scary or challenging.GLaDOS_700

Honestly I suggest Bioshock. Its not pure horror like Silent Hill, Re, etc. It is creepy won't deny that but, the story is so captivating half the time you don't even notice it. Also its not real hard when you die there are the Vita chambers so you pretty much just start back right where you were. Lastly it is cheap now only $20 new at most retailers, or $14.99 on Amazon.

Well as far as pure Fps Metro 2033 is a good bet, but as an Fps-Rpgish thing what about Fallout 3 if you haven't played it. Long great single-player with lots to explore. No multi-player but as single player goes its amazing. I haven't played Borderlands, but my friend has it and from what I've heard you either love it or hate it. So if you think you'd like it go ahead and get it but, if your skeptical then Idk.

Hey guys,I am looking for an FPS game on the PC with good graphics which has a dark atmosphere in which everything around you is quiet and broken.Not like doom,though.I want it to be on earth.Kinda like the 2nd stage of gears of war 1.Any games for me?I really like this kind of environment in games :P

Yes you can get the FPS and the GOTY edition has all the extra DLCs that were released after Fallout 3 came out. I recommend the GOTY edition since then you won't have to pay for any extra add-ons later if you them (which you probably will once you get into Fallout 3) and its only $59.99 the price of most other games anyway.

So I preordered the Big Boss PSP Bundle, which means I have to wait until June 6th to physically pick it up, but in the meantime I wanted to get ahold of a few games from a wide assortment of genres. So far I've only bought Pangya Golf--I'm told Hot Shots is better so I'll likely get that--but here's what I've been eyeing and may need help in deciding:

A unique psp puzzle game(is lumines really that good)?

a fighter - Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max - is that one any good? Is there one in particular that is supported by an online community? (im not a huge fan of blazblue.

rpg - This area has me confused. Preferebly not random battles, though I'm not against it. Is there one that stands ahead of the rest?

Racing - Motorstorm or Gran Turismo?

Star Wars Battlefront ES. Worth it?

Are the Ratchet and Clank games any good? I'm a huge mario 64 fan. Any other games that may interest me.

Alright here's my dilemma. I have very limited amounts of money and my parents are strict about me getting video games so choosing a game for is me is like choosing my wife. I'm going to be stuck with it a while.

I think that battlefield bad company 2 is a must buy game!! it's much better than modern warfare 2 much much better and another great game is just cause 2 !!:D

Absolutely hands down played through it (the campaign) in one day at my friends house.

I'm looking to pick up a game from gamestop in the 25$ range. Does anybody have a suggestion of a game that maybe flew under the radar that they really liked? Or just any other game that fits the description would be fine. I like pretty much all games so fire away. Some games I would think people would suggest that I already have are Fallout 3, GTA 4, Gears 1 and 2. Thanks!

the average is about 10 hours +- 2 hours I'd say. For me personally though it was around 11H.

i've locked up funds for 2 games next week. RDR is already paid for, and i am torn about
the second purchase.

Alan Wake
This is definitely the strongest of the three. It has the appeal of new experience, and i'm a big fan of the survival horror theme game. I'm not a big fan of games that have "supernatural story lines", convoluted meanings and visions. I like to play purposeful games.


Lost Planet 2
I loved the first, even though i struggled with the checkpoint save system. What's your problem CAPCOM? The game looks absolutely gorgeous, but i'm really scared about the broken single player game. Game Informer gave this game an 8.5 on what seems to be based solely on the multi-player. Across the board this game has gotten poor reviews despite the incredible visuals, etc.
I could never purchase a game solely based on multiplayer.

Split Second
I was really excited about this game when it was first mentioned. I've longed for a pure car combat game, that would build upon games like twisted metal, road rash, etc. I hoped that full auto would be that, or at least become that game in sequels...

I love the Burnout series alot, but always found it somewhat shallow. This game strikes me as Burnout spin off with power ups and smart bombs. I thought it would be deeper.

This decision would be a lot easier if games weren't $60 a pop.

Is anyone else in this "dilemma"???
