I'm quitting my job and going back to school. I'm going to have a week and a half of downtime before school starts. How is that not good?:PI'm jealous, I wish I could get away with that. We're barely scraping by though these days due to kiddo.
I'm jealous, I wish I could get away with that. We're barely scraping by though these days due to kiddo. How old is your kid? I'm sure I'm going to regret these student loans some day, but I really want to focus on school without worrying about my job, at least for the first semester. I may get a job at a coffee shop if money gets too tight. One of my closest friends manages this shop downtown and he has said that they'd hire me in a second if a position opened up.Atmanix

18 months now. Daycare is expensive :P
Are you going to a University or a community college? Student loans scare the hell out of me. I'd afraid of going for 4 years and not being able to find a job in that field or that paid enough. On that note, I'd probably go for the coffee shop job to help out.

University. I'll probably jump on it if something comes up. I'm just hoping to be unemployed for the first semester so that I can get back into the swing of things. There is a remedial math course that is going to be a real struggle. Math isn't my strong suit, everything else should be fine. I'm taking out enough in loans for the first year that I don't have to work, but if I can juggle school and a part time job, I would love to start paying down the loan a little early.[QUOTE="Atmanix"][QUOTE="rragnaar"] How old is your kid? I never did well with math. I completely understand now, I wouldn't want to be working either :P
I wish you the best of luck man. Like I said, I'm jealous and wish I could do the same.

I got lucky with my job and never had to worry about that. Hell I had enough bills as is anyway:P
My wife is currently applying for a job near her mother's house. Her mother has offered to watch our son for a minimal fee. She just heard back today from her phone interview and is doing a face-to-face this Wednesday. It would be incredible to get rid of that bill.

Yeah same here....good luck! I know they have insane fees because my friends complain all the time.
Brett if you only have one more class why not just go back to your parents house and take the last class online.
It should be infinitely cheaper than paying for an apartment, bills, food, etc.
Ouch, :(
At least the class should be infintely easier to you. You're going to have so much free time on your hands
It's a 4 credit course which means that there's a lecture and a lab for the class which aren't offered online at all.ExoticAnimalat least you can try and get a job during the semester. so you're making some money while you finish up your schooling ;)

i havent watched that and don't know anything about it. so you can at least partially blame it on me :DAnd this is why I have refused to pick up any new shows in a few years now. Too many of mine keep ****ing getting cancelled!

I know what you mean. Seems like every time I start getting into new show they go off and cancel it. Sometimes a few episodes in! It's really annoying.

i'm happy chuck lasted as long as it did. i think this is gonna be the final season, but its about the right time. i'd rather it end a little earlier than i'd like than have it get a my name is earl-esque ending. also hopefully jeffster gets their own spinoff :PYou can't take a different course that would offer the same amount of credits online? I wish I had online courses when I tried to go. Nope. There was one way where I could have avoided taking the class but that was if I decided to do a concentration on one part of my bio major. The problem was that I had 4 classes and this fall quarter only offered 2 that would meet the requirement which would have needed just only 1 more anyway.[QUOTE="ExoticAnimal"]It's a 4 credit course which means that there's a lecture and a lab for the class which aren't offered online at all.Dracula68
Congrats Rrag, you seem very happy :) Best of luck to you in the upcoming school year, don't feel too old around all those young college girls :P
Drac, when you entered in the Navy what position did you go in for? I'm just curious.
