Good JRPGs?

Guys, I like JRPGs, but only if theyre decent. I feel there's been a large amount of bad ones made this generation. I'd like to check out some new ones, preferably on a new gen console or the psp. The only ones that look promising to me right now are resonance of fate and maybe ff13, though ive heard a lot of mixed things about it.

Despite the poor scores from GS and IGN, White Knight Chronicles is a solid JRPG that is worth playing. It's a bit easy and the battle system needed a little more pizzaz, but overall it was a nice experience. I'd recommend it if you can get it for a good price.

FF13 is really good, but doesn't open up until much later in the game. I have yet to play Resonance of Fate, but I've only heard good things. Valkyria Chronicles and Tales of Vesperia are fantastic as well.

While not having a very serious story, the Disgaea titles have very fun gameplay. The third game that's on PS3 definitely have the funniest and awesome gameplay. Strategic rpgs just make the whole turn based thing so much funnier and interesting. Of course, it's not a very new game...It's one or two years old I believe.

Disgaea was pretty good, as long as you dont mind a comedy game more then serious. Valkyrie Chronicles was great, ff13 was decent, resonance was also pretty good, otherwise id go for ps2-ps1 jrpgs

Thanks guys. I beat Tales of Vesperia twice. As far as Lost Odyssey, I played it for awhile but I just didn't feel like reading those dreams, which I heard was most of the experience. And the combat in that game just takes forever after awhile. And that was also a good suggestion on the ps1 rpgs, as I'm currently playing tales of eternia and replaying ff7. It's too bad we can't have another ps1 era, but I guess there is still some potential

FFXIII was a great game, and while it is better near the end, I still liked the beginning parts of the game, as well. tales of Vesperia is also very good.

I haven't gotten Resonance of Fate yet, but it is a game I want to get.
