I'm trying to make a list of the good platformers for the Game Boy, GBColor, and GB Advance systems so I can look for them eventually. I have or know of several already, such as the Mario Land and Wario Land series, Metroid series (I have them all), Donkey Kong Land series, Donkey Kong Country series (GBA), Crash Bandicootand Spyro the DragonGBA series (I have Spyro Superpack), Kid Icarus, Sonic Advance series, Mega Man series, and Scurge: Hive.

Now, what are some of the good platformers I missed out on? I'm looking for both obscure and well known games, and I could use all the help I can get.

Thank you. I can't believe I forgot Klonoa. Oh, and I've seenDrill Dozer in box at a local store recently. I might have to pick up that copy.

^ I agree with all of the above games, and I would like to contribute the original Gameboy version of Bionic Commando (not Elite Forces for the GBC).

Now you're set!

Kirby games have beenadded, I own Kid Icarus, I own every Metroid game released (including First Hunt and the MP2:DE demo), I own SMB Deluxe, I listed the Wario Land, Mega Man, and Sonic Advanceseries already, and I have Sonic Advance 3, but not 1 or 2. Thank you for the suggestions, though.

Bionic Commando came out for the GB? Sweet! Wait, what's wrong with Elite Forces?

Eh, I don't think there's anything "wrong" with it, per se. As I recall, Nintendo actually made Elite Forces themselves rather than Capcom (don't quote me on that, but I'm pretty sure), so it doesn't really have the same feel.

More than anything else, the GB remake of Bionic Commando was just soawesome that it actually trumps the NES version IMO.

Nice. I'll have to remember that. I just hope I can find a copy.

:)

Good luck - I had to search for months before it even popped up on Ebay. Fortunately, it's not one that is terribly expensive (which is more than I can say for the Mega Man Gameboy games!)
