So far GTA V looks good. Saints Row IV on the other hand looks like a crappy DLC. And mind you I liked SW 2 and hated GTA IV but as of now GTA V looks like it might fix the problems that IV had while SW IV has stupid aliens, no gangs, and powers that makes it out of place in the game. I know the developers didn't want SW 4 to be a GTA clone and make it it's own game but they went to far with it. I mean SW 2 was great and it wasn't like GTA at all. It was different from GTA 4 and that was good since it was actually fun.

Saints Row has been happening recently and it's still a very strong series. I even prefer it more than GTA simply because it doesn't take itself seriously and it always provides a good time (except for Saints Row 1, which is, in my opinion, the hardest game in the series).

But GTA 5? No question...that game has been in development for MANY years and I think it will be A LOT better than Saints Row 4. Saints Row is, again, more or less a yearly thing now...so I'm hoping that, with GTA V, the developers for Saints Row is going to look at that and go "What can we do to outshine GTA V in the future?"

GTA 5 looks amazing but Saints Row has been better then GTA since SR2. So it should be a great summer for open world games.

This question makes no sense. SR4 and GTA5 have nothing in common other than they are both sandbox games and they both have gangsters(SR4 is using the term very loosely). The games have not been similar since SR3 came out. I don't understand why people keep arguing about this.

In what universe has Saints row been better?

But i know its all subjective but its funny to hear that when Saints row 3 has sold 3.5mill compared to 21 mill for GTA IV and 125 mill for the franchise compared to Saints row´s 9.8mill total for the franchise

And its not because Saints Row hasn´t had its fair share of PR, its just a very how do you put it, immature game that has a very select group of gamers in mind.

I prefer Saints Row 3 to GTA IV. My opinion will likely change after GTA V/SR4 drop, but for now, Saints Row is my more favored franchise. Co-Op'ing the entire campaign in SR3 was a blast.

[QUOTE="Smokescreened84"][QUOTE="Jacanuk"] Why would/should they allow a choice? they are not trying to please som PC feminist BS agenda Also the way GTA is , it would be hard to fit a female character into that.Jacanuk

It would be a chance to finally allow the choice, their games are boring, stale junk that got old over a decade ago. They do the same tired ideas, same tired character types, same boring male power fantasy. It isn't hard to have the main lead/s be female, all it takes is something that Rockstar's writer's clearly lack - imagination. Until they grow up and get over their males only obsession, then I won't touch their stale nonsense with a ten foot barge pole.

Well its your loss.

But considering that if you take a game like Mass Effect where you had the option that only 18% chose a female Sheppard, its pretty clear that the majority of gamers prefer a male hero.

Also i cant see how a female protagonist in GTA would be possible, its a game about sex, drugs, crime and violence, it would be very hard to make a female character fit into that.

And once again I have to come in another thread and shatter your logic. It's just too much fun!

So you're basing the preferences of the entire gaming population off of one franchise's reported female/male protagonist ratio? More people chose the male Shepard in ME, so that must mean the majority of gamers prefer male protagonists.

One game's statistics dictates the entire gaming population's gender preferences. Riiiiiiiight.

Well, since you're a statistics guy, let me throw you some other, industry-wide statistics. I don't expect you to click them, so just take a gander at the URLs.

Whaaaat? Surely they must be lying!!

Can it be so? Women play games too??? NO WAY! But how? Someone needs to explain this to me, for real.

And lastly...about your other sexist assumption (and remember, I'm quoting you), you said, "its a game about sex, drugs, crime and violence, it would be very hard to make a female character fit into that."

El oh el, good one. A woman who does drugs, has sex and kills people is sooooooo hard to put into a video game! Now, an eastern European male? No problem, they are capable of doing bad things.

A black male? Heck yes! My imagination is racing with all of the crime he could commit!

But a female? Oh god no. Are they even strong enough to hold a rifle? It's not like they're in the military or anything. It's not like the American military has any women.

http://www.womensmemorial.org/PDFs/StatsonWIM.pdf

Wait. Nearly 15% of our military are women? Nah, that's lies.

It's just too unrealistic. I'm just picturing it, laughing so hard. Like, like, a woman is handed a gun (LOL what? NO!), she steals a car by gunpoint (ROFL), and then she drives to the mission and starts shooting at bad guys (LMAO). I mean, can we get Criss Angel as a DLC character, since we're dealing with the impossible?

Seriously, the sheer implausibility of such an event is pure comedy!

Yeah.

I have never been a fan of GTA. I like Saints Row, though. So I am looking forward to it more than GTA 5.

Yeah.

The only thing you shatter are your own posts with incohrente ramblings that almost sounds like its coming out of the carlady from simpsons.

First of all the post you finally decided to respond to, does not say ALL gamers, it says ALL Mass Effect gamers who participated in the online part or didn´t block Bioware from receiving the ME info. There is a huuuuuuuge difference.

The rest is just shear ramblings and honestly i dont get why you keep on and on, right now GTA is all male leads so deal with it.
