My dad is not a gamer, but he LOVES Star Control. We'd play the hell out of it on Genesis. Despite him not being a gamer, otherwise, he was freaking the master at that game. Nobody could touch him.

*off topic* The suicide attack actually counted as a victory, if you destroyed the enemy with it... And yeah, the Genesis version is the version I had when I was a teen. I missed it soooo much. I purchased the DOS version from gog.com. The sound effects were better in the Genesis version!
