Halo Wars: are you surprised by gamespot's review?

Am I surprised? Yes. Do I think the reviewer wrote a fair review? No.

Metacritic - 82 (as you can see, Gamespot gave it the lowest score so far.)

Someone has to get the lowest score, GS just so happens to be the one to get it for this game. I don't get the whole "this was an unfair review because it wasn't up there with the rest of them" argument either. I mean, what's the point in having reviews from multiple sources if they are all going to be the same?

I thought the controls for Halo Wars was actually pretty good for a home console RTS, but the game seemed shallow. I don't think I will buy the game.

I personally didn't expect it to score above a 8, Shocked? A little, especially after reading the review of the game which hammers it for not being as complex as something in the PC strategy world (This wouldn't work on console), I find the review to be a little to harsh overall, but ohh well..

Yes I am surprised! What's wrong Ensemble? Maybe the news of the closure struck Ensemble to make bad games...

His review states the pros and cons that all the other reviewers gave. Why did he score it so low? He doesn't mention exactly what he's comparing Halo Wars to, which leaves his review very questionable. How did he come up with a "6.5" score? I mean that score is way bellow the average that you can't help but wonder what he was basing him self on. Being bellow average is one thing, but being well bellow average is another..

I just saw the score. I think it got what it deserved. Back when I actually liked Halo, I thought Halo Wars wasn't a bad idea, but now I know that the Halo series has no spot in the RTS genre. Plus it was on a console. Had they moved (ported) it to PC, I think it would've gotten a higher score.
