Hardest Video game YOU have played in your life!

Did anyone ever play the original Crash Bandicoot? If you just did the storyline straightforward, it wasn't too bad. But if you tried to go for 100% you would end up crying after the first minute.

Not only it's hard but even saving your game is difficult.

Was Jak 2 that hard? I remember I loved that game when I was a kid. Had tons of playthroughs on it, but I can't remember it being that hard :O

Fear Effect was an absolute brutal game. Outside of default difficulty I also remember Metal Gear Solid 2 on the hardest difficulty being brutal.

Theres a few but the first one that comes to mind is Stormlord (gen), the game was still incredibly hard even with game genie codes

Well its definately not broken, but they made it ridiculously punishing! Seperation Anxiety (the sequal) was a challenging but Maximum Carnage was just insane.

Double_Wide

Target Earth (GEN) is the most difficult game I've finished (even in light of having finished the NESBattletoads and Ninja Gaidens 1-3). Really, this game is absurd.

Thundercade for the NES is the most difficult game I've ever played that I didn't finish (at least not without cheating...which is ok because that game cheated first ;) )

The game reuses all the enemies albeit with color swaps. The game is simply way too long. You'll also fight multiple bosses all at once (and yes, you fight them every fricking time). Contra was okay because it gets over quick but this game is simply ridiculous. It drags on and on forever. Not worth the time or patience. Avoid it like the plague.
