@davillain-: Probably racing games as a genre, I suffer from very sensitive motion sickness and many racing games make me feel unwell, I've even had the same issue with other games like Gravity Daze series which I also can't play much without feeling unwell.
However I realise this is more a bad game but play it anyway thread. . So I dunno, going to try and name some recent stuff because mentioning really old retro games like Splatterhouse isn't exactly dumbfounded.
So most my Early Access games. . I played the SCORN-Alpha which it's potentially the best looking game I've ever played and really like the puzzles, even though the level design is pretty trash and shooting is hit-and-miss. Doesn't control all that great, so far it's seemingly to be the modern day D00MIII. Which as we all know is easily the worst in the D00M series, but was bragging rights for P.C. Gamers for how good it looked_
Have a similar opinion with The Vagrant, a small teams clear attempt at making a Vanillaware game. Because games like Dragon's Crown will never hit P.C. officially. It's very beautiful on the eyes, but as a Beat em' Up is really underwhelming. I still play it anyway because of the levelling system and boss fights are on point, I see potential in this project.
Lastly is Quake: Champions, which despite the last two I think it plays really well. . However the lag can be awful when it wants to be. I don't know much on the Meta but read that's a big deal for this game, as well the wait for a classic mode so all avatars are equal in terms of stats and gameplay can focus entirely on skill. Not that you can, with the lag present at least 70% the time_
So, what I'm getting at, is most the games listed, despite not being all that great, so happen to be on the P.C. platform exclusively. Take that as you will, I'm gunning for The Vagrant being a special game when finished regardless.
Yet, honestly have no hope for Quake: Champions and SCORN. I think the developers of both have certain goals in mind, the new Quake is designed to be a micro-transaction cash-grab going for that Counter Strike skin buying audience. Likely a sly way of funding a Rage 2 or something else for id Software.
And SCORN is so the Master Race can brag about a technical marvel over console Gamers. . Which in honesty would be lucky if a PS5 or XB2 could run it as good as a decent P.C. And will be little more than that, which is a shame because I want it to be more about the puzzles, level design, and tension.
