Me personally... still waiting. Anyone out there that would consider a certain game to be a flawless diamond in their eyes?
Your thoughts?

I waited 3 years for Heavy Rain and even bought my PS3 to play the game, and it still blew me away. Sadly, with the exception of the first part of the game, it went to slow and was boring, but in the end was needed to set the mood.
Not the perfect game, but the closest I've ever played.
For me it was MGS4. I really have no way of describing how awesome that game was to me. MGS3 is a close second if it wasn't for the lame camouflage system.
Ace Combat 5 The Unsung Wars was a dream come true.
- Epic storyline
- Great symphonic music with lots of choirs.
- 40+ different aircraft.
- Flawless controls.
edit: I almost forgot
- varied types of missions like submarine hunt, escort, infiltration, you even got to shot a frikkin space station from the sky.
I'm still waiting for Nintendo to do a Virtual Boy Advance--VBA anyone? Sport/Goggle-like construction, joint pads or some way to detect limb motion, and the ability to "see" the outside landscape--If I went to a park and there was a hill, objects in the game would be rendered around such hill. So essentially the Super Mario game would be a person running and jumping around a park throwing fireballs at virtual goombahs, jumping on platforms, and generally looking like an idiot.
Never met a flawless game, I have a very uncommon taste, so I doubt I will ever see my perfect game...
I love Cyberpunk, and my ideal game would be sort of a mech between (Syndicate (both), Deus Ex, and Vampire the masquerade Bloodlines).
I like games that has themes, and points they want to make, and I like games that can get hard.
Id love to have freesom, not just in movement (like they have not) but in depth aswell, Id like to control my income in thegame, douing various things (working as a bouncer for a week or something like that, maybe do some cybercrime), Decide options for assaulting people/locations, and I would prefer if the option for dialogue and deception were as well implemented in the game as in one of my examples.
Id love that kind of game... an everraining huge city, with hauntingly neon lights reflecting on the piddles, there mixed with the rest of the worst of humanity, crime, arrogance, hate and apathy. Where the player themselves must decide thier humanity and what they consider wrong.
I really like games where human nature is a main theme, and plays a role on the player him/herself.
I still remember the First Syndicate game, where you were sent to kill a president during a parade, because she was against cybernetics... ah good stuff ^^
That kind of game jsut wont be made, media would be all over it, and it would appeal to very few people, due to the complexityand darkly hopeless wibeI think.
For me i'd say Super Smash Bros. Melee came damn close. Never in my life did i think a fighting game could be so engrossing.
Pros:
-Extremely fun
-Best cast of characters around
-The best Music
-Memorable stages
-Multiple gametypes
-Newbies have a chance to win, yet you can get skilled enough to kill anyone
- Items are used well
- Customization for matches
-I believe the gamecube controller was perfectly suited for this game with the c-stick and all
Cons:
-No online in the gamecube era
-Few characters missings
Well, my perfect games are Kingdom Hearts and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, for various reasons. They're both incredibly fun, tell a good story (MGS4 more than KH, I must admit), have a great atmosphere and characters that I just love (not love love, but you get the point). They're not perfect (MGS4 comes pretty close), but there is no perfect game anyway, so that doesn't really matter. I just really like the games.
If only Sonic had made it into Melee. Instead, we didn't get him until the mediocre sequel. :(For me i'd say Super Smash Bros. Melee came damn close. Never in my life did i think a fighting game could be so engrossing.

I was hoping the new final fantasy game would of been perfect because I always wanted to play one of the new ones, I loved the old Snes games. I never wanted to drop money for a PS just for the games so I never played them. I was so excited the 360 got a FF game, then i found out it's nothing like the previous ones. Bleh I might buy it if I have 60 dollars to burn.
P.S. I still want an awesome new Oregon Trail or Kings Quest.
No but from a gameplay standpoint, Uncharted 2 came damn close. I've always wanted to actually play exciting set pieces like those seen in the game.
Metal Gear Solid 4. It took my favorite series of all time and wrapped it up beautifully and tragically.
Dynasty warriors 4 and star wars battle front 2 on my xbox. I played the strikeforce demo and gundam dyanasty warriors and I got to say they all suck but 4. Hoping something would be perfect for my ps3  although bad company 2 is up there :D
I am leaving my perfect games to be anonymous for reasons anyone can understand, but yes.Shoujo-AiI don't understand...
My perfect game has already been made, 26 years ago.....Tetris. I tend towards the belief that the more complex something becomes, the potential for flaws increase and the notion of "perfection" becomes less and less attainable. Tetris' brilliance lies in its simplicity; it's the epitome of replayability, has great music, and is now portable. Alexey is a pure genius, and his game has come as close to the impossible goal of being perfect as any game has.
Red Faction Guerilla: So close but yet so far.................................
But Just Cause 2 Demo has me hooked like a drugie to crack, i can't leave it!!!!!!!! I'm out of money right now so i ahve to wait untill aprill:(
Stubbs the Zombie, teh game was and still is on eof teh most innovative game i have seen.
Why you should not write what the perfect game is (in a very detailed way that is). Like a game designer told me... It can be used by others, If you write a idea and some big company think "holy crap that is a great idea" it wont mather if you came up with the idea. They are making money from your idea and you cant do anything about it.
no game could ever be perfect but theres certianly a few games that are close to perfection for what they are.
Tactics Ogre ( PS )
Resident Evil 4 ( PS2 )
GTA Vice City ( PS2 )
Dead Space ( 360 )
Borderlands ( 360 )
God Of War III ( PS3 )
Metal Gear Solid 4 ( PS3 )
Actually the Gamecube could get online but the only game I can think of that used it was Phantasy Star Online which was ported from Dreamcast to Gamecube. For me i'd say Super Smash Bros. Melee came damn close. Never in my life did i think a fighting game could be so engrossing.
