I haven't seen a perfect game yet.
I suppose it would be a mix of FF's production values, and DAO's replayability and depth.
My perfect games aren't from this generation. Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, FF IX, FF 7, Crisis Core, God Of War 2, MGS 1, MGS 3 are my "perfect" games. Not only are these games nostalgic, but they are also fun :)
Skies of Arcadia was probably the most "perfect" JRPG I've played: Endearing story and characters, variegated worlds, reasonable learning curve, and memorable music. If I could get a sequel to anything right now (and my list is long), it would be this title. Sure the the mechanics of the game were conventional and the game was littered with classic RPG cliches, but it was put together so well and had so much character!

Skies of Arcadia Legendsfor the GC is the best JRPG I've ever played.......look at my avatar, can you guess the character? She's actually only in the GC version of the game.
no game could ever be perfect but theres certianly a few games that are close to perfection for what they are.
Tactics Ogre ( PS )

GTA Vice City ( PS2 )
Dead Space ( 360 )
Borderlands ( 360 )

RE4 on the Wii first and all reviews state that the wii-mote is the control of choice for this set up. Makes sense as the game was made around the wii-mote...
I'd say Oblivion had just about everything I ever wanted in a game but I think 'perfect' is too definitive a label. If I was to call Oblivion 'perfect' then I'd have no reason to look forward to the next one, which hopefully will be one step closer to 'perfect'.

Metal Gear Solid. I just love everything about. The characters are amazing, the music is just epic, and the story is just crazy.
No.
It never will be, either
It would have to be open world yet Uncharted like cinematic.
It would have to include magic and swords, a bit of guns and platforming. It would havew to have a comic book inspired story (Batman and Infamous are some of my favorite storys) and have co-op and much reason to replay it without multiplayer
REmake for Gamecube. The graphics are perfect, the gameplay is perfect, the story is excellent. All around perfect execution of the RE formula and the game; It couldn't have been better.
The Left 4 dead games are what I consider perfect for online multiplayer. Local multiplayer is Super Smash bros mellee. Single player Resident evil 4, God of war series and Tales of symphonia.

No it wasn't. Resident Evil 4 was made for the GameCube, before the Wii was released, then ported to the PS2, then ported to the Wii. Anyways, probably KOTOR 1 and 2. My first real console RPG experiences, and they were awesome.Until some company makes a game thats a mix of Grand Theft Auto, Left 4 Dead and Jet Set Radio, it hasn't.
Because GTA with cel-shaded graphics, rollerblading, graffiti and zombies would be pretty awesome

Starcraft(RTS)
Counterstrike source(FPS)
Best games I have ever played and I think most can say CSS is the best mp shooter ever made.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Sure, by today's standards the graphics could be upgraded and camera control could be improved with a second analog stick (which the N64 was lacking), but in terms of game content and design there's not a single thing I'd change or would think to add.
If by perfect you mean "without flaws of any kind" then that will never be attained.
But I suspect you mean "has a game come along that so aligned itself with your personal tastes and view of what a game should be that you loved it as if it were perfect, despite any flaws". Well if that is the case then mine is Dead Rising. Being a big fan of the old Romero "Dead" films and zombie cinema in general, I loved what they did with DR. I can't wait for the second game this August, though I'd be lying if I said that I was expecting it to have the same level of impact with me that the original did. I know I'll like it of course, but the first one is a game I've championed for four years to anyone who'd listen.
