In these forums? Probably not. In their respective official forums, most likely yes.
However, most devs wont take people's ideas for sequels. They dont know if that person's work is copyrighted in some fashion or not, and will not risk getting into a lawsuit over it.
Awhile back i gave the idea for a game that takes place during the crusades and you play asan assasin who has to protect his creed.I also posted about this game in which you start out as small organism, the size of a spore then you evolve and try to survive against other organisms. I'm pretty sure companies don't look into forums or else these games would be coming out.monkey27272
Sounds similar to my case. A long time ago, before the tubes were invented, I had this idea for a game where you're an Italian plumber who jumps on turtles and eats mushrooms to grow giant. Sounds kinda crazy, I know, but I think it would have been a great game, maybe it could have saved console gaming.
off-topic: I never noticed how whacked-out Super Mario Bros sounds when you put it in writing.
Personally, I think it's great that they DON'T listen to the fans. When fans have their way, all it does is hurt the product in the end. Imagine what a game like World of Warcraft would become if they actually did what half the players say, or any game for that matter. AtomicTangerine
But it's also negligent to not listen to your fans at all. It's a bad idea to take someone else's idea for a game, but when you're talking about feedback, it should always be considered. A lot of times, it's people who don't have any idea what they're talking about (I should be able to reach level seventy in seven hours!), but sometimes, the criticism is fair. Feedback should be considered, but followed or not followed at the discretion of the developers.
