What I find even more amazing is how the loading times are allegedly nonexistent, much like Rogue Galaxy.

And yeah, the game does look mindblowing. It really looks like a CG film.

Well to be fair, I'd rather have a game that plays good and looks good rather than something that only succeeds at one aspect.

Wow thats good. Faces and character models may be the best ever but I still think Killzone 2 looks better overall.

I'd have to disagree, still not even near Crysis on high. No one can refute this unless they've seen on a computer, in which case they'd agree with me. It's increadible.

This game looks cool though :D

I'm gonna be honest Crysis does have good environments but the character models in Heavy Rain beat Crysis ... and the PS3 only has 256MB of RAM.

Again lets see how the game plays before we get too excited, I can see great graphics in a movie you know? Without spending 60 + dollars, gameplay is still the most vital thing.

While I agree it does look good, honestly, my excitement for this game has little to nothing to do with the graphics. I believe David Cage is a visionary, and after playing Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy), i'm very much looking forward to exceptional interactivity and narrative in the gameplay. Out of any game on my wishlist, Heavy Rain is probaby the one I have the most genuine interest in and anticipation for.

I agree the gameplay needs to be there but I'm sure there prime focus isn't just the graphics.

Totally agree. Those saying they are 'unsure about the gameplay' are doing so out of ignorance more than anything else. The game is basically using an adapted version of the gameplay found in Fahrenheit. Quantic Dream are an amazing team with some great ideas. The talk I've heard about how the story will branch off and change depending on the player's actions sounds to be a revolutionary step in video game storytelling.

"Heavy Rain's visuals look so phenomenal, so realistic, so lavish, that they probably qualify as the most impressive graphics ever produced for a video game."

And the game hasn't been released yet! Even the title screen looks sensationally realistic.

Taylor_Rayne
I`ve seen the videos and that is a lot of hype, it doesn't look any better than stuff seen lately for PS3 and 360. And who the hell cares if the game looks good if the gameplay is just pressing buttons to a repetitive sequence. Dragon's Lair anyone?, Oh and BTW Indigo Prophecy was the most overated game I've ever played. It got rave reviews, I bought it and sold it back 3 days later (the game was super short and dumb easy), just "Simon" like gameplay 80% of the time. That 20% that was investigation and puzzle solving was good, but it was so few and far between that it felt like tacked on. If Heavy Rain is just like that I don't want to hear anything further about it.

Heavy Rain's character models blow anything away thats on the PS3 or 360.

I'm still not sure if I'd agree with the character models being better... only the eyes are better because they motion captured it.

Indigo Prophecy show'd brilliance at times, let's hope they capture that and make it this game. In that case this game would be amazing.

Not really. The way characters move is still rigid compared to characters in mgs4.

I'm not talking about movement but how they look and the game is still a year away so it will get better. Its gonna be the best looking game.

And if Crysis had anything better than run-of-the-mill, average-at-best gameplay, maybe people would consider it the bar.

Looks better then Crysis to me.

I'd also like to see a PC with a crippled 128bit 7800 series card and 256MB of RAM try to run Crysis ... not gonna happen even on low.

There close to it and probably have the best character models ever you got to admit that it looks like a tech demo though. :D

I just hope the gameplay is good.

I think it looks pretty cool, I hope it plays well.

As for graphics, I can't wait until game systems get so powerful everything has the same level of detail so this arguement can die in a fire.

Then the argument will be about physics and destruction.

What I find even more amazing is how the loading times are allegedly nonexistent, much like Rogue Galaxy.

And yeah, the game does look mindblowing. It really looks like a CG film.

Sadly, that's true. But graphics is practically the only thing that you can judge in a game at this stage.

I am certainly willing to give this game a shot. Personally, I usually don't like thrillers, but this one simply looks too good to pass up.
