Try games like Zack and Wiki, it may look kiddie, but it's one of the most devilishly hard games on the Wii.

What consoles do you have?? Basicly you need to either like fighting games or First Person Shooters becauses thats about the only two you can play together. Almost all fighters have female characters. They are all different so you should just get a bunch and try them out and see if you like any of them. I recommend Soul Calibur series.

If you have a 360 you should get Earth Defense Force 2017. Its a shooter and you get to play co-op and fight against giant bugs and robots. Shooters I think would be girl friendly because they dont requrie you to memorize a whole bunch of buttons. Just coordination with point and shoot.

If you have a Wii i would highly recommend Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. Its an action rpg. You get to make your own little character, and go through a story and you get to fight together on the screen. You can even team up against a specific foe to do things like cast a higher level of magic spell against them. The combat in FF:CC is fun and easy and you will no doubt love the character designs and stuff.

Girls usually love Sims games and Animal Crossing(wii) but those are mostly single player. With animal crossing you can both make villagers and live in the same town in different houses but you have to take turns playing.

I know a lot of girls seem to play Team Fortress 2 which is a shooter if you were to be interested in those since your bf likes them. I personally haven't played any online shooters with as many girls as I seem to find in TF2. Other than that a few of my friends really enjoy Zelda games. I also know that 47% of all DS buyers last year were girls, so you could easily check out that selection. Bunch of puzzle games, and cartoony platformers like Mario and such are on there that appeal to anyone, and everyone :) I'm actually pretty uncertain of a good multiplayer game you two could play together. I don't play much multiplayer beyond TF2 :)

Well the games you currently play seem to be what you enjoy the most, it's not your problem if that isn't good enough for him.
If you want to try the kind of games he plays, you could ask for some practice time on your own to get the feel for them, see how you fare on your own before playing against or with him.

Smash Bros is pretty good for learning with since it can be a little tactical, not hugely, and you need to think ahead sometimes so that you can deliver the most damage and ensure a good win. Though that depends more on the gamer really than anything else.
Shooters can be managed by anyone, it's never really a case of coordination but just how quickly you can react when you hear a soundand howmuch you like to shoot things, they don't requirethe kind of coordination a fighter or racing games does.

But no body can ask someone to like the same games they do, tastes are always different.

Nintendo's had a lot of advertising campaigns targeting women on the DS. If you look online you'll find videos of Lisa Kudrow, Liv Tyler, America Ferrera, etc. playing Brain Age, Professor Layton, Nintendogs, etc.

Oh look Muthsera adding nothing to the conversation except trolling, what a shock. _AbBaNdOn

He's a troll for pointing out your insult to the TC's gender?

Oh, the irony.

The type of games I'm thinking, which you could both possibly like and play together, are MMORPG types of games. There are free ones out there... you could try Perfect World, Wonderland Online, Granado Espada, Flyff, Ether Saga, etc.

Just play the game he plays. You can start from any game really, you just need to play a little bit longer untill you get good.

I actually came here to look at the question. I was reading the previous posts as I didn't want to needlessly reiterate a previously mentioned game. While I was reading, I found your insult to the female mentality. I honestly didn't know what I should post about games, using your example that women cannot memorize well enough to play games other than shooters. I mean, I would have suggested something like playing two games on different screens, like last summer a friend and I played Morrowind on Xbox. It's a single player game, but we played in the same room, talking to each other as we played physically separate games. However, according to your description of the level of memorization capabilities in the female gender, I don't know if a woman would be able to play such a game. I wasn't being sarcastic, I honestly didn't know how to respond to your assessment.

uh right. My suggestion is play his favorite games and get into it (whether or not you actually like them a bunch.) But if you are serious about getting into games shooters are the way to go.

Chances are, if you haven't felt compelled to pick up and try a game yet, even after watching him, then you are never going to get into games. I'm pretty sure everyone here started to enjoy gaming because at some point in their lives, they saw one and decided they wanted to learn to play it because it looked like fun to them.

If after all these years you still have never seen or heard about a game that piqued your interest, then you're trying to force yourself into the wrong hobby. Even if you did find one that interested you, it's going to besomething you've never watched him play, and thus, not something he'd really care to spend time playing either.

Tell him to get Rock Band and more puzzle games. If I had a girlfriend I'd play Rock Band with her every day if she wanted. I'd pretty much play anything she wanted to come to think of it.
