How did you get your first system?

Let's refresh memories :P

For me, when I was 7 years old (I think) I was at my grandma's house and one uncle came with an old NES which his sons didn't use anymore because they had a SNES already, so he turned it on with Super Mario Bros...

Later that day, I was playing it at my own house, and still use it these days...

I don't even know. I had it ever since before birth. When I was born, the doctor took the Game Boy out of my hand and congratulated me on my high score on Tetris.

In all seriousness, I'm not sure. They've been there ever since I can remember. N64, SNES and Genesis.

I thought my parents bought me my first system, which was the NES, but I later found out it was actually Santa Claus.CheeChee_Macko

The first system I had was the NES although I must have been 3-4 when we got it.

The first console I distinctly remember going to the store and picking up was the awesome Super Nintendo.

I have an older brother (He was about 16 when I was old enough to play videogames) he had an NES, which I played all the time, then I got an SNES for christmas, when I was 6.

My brothers girlfriend gave me her Commodore 16 plus 4.

When I was 6-7 my mum won a Super Nintendo in a competition for me and my sister.

Same here,I got my first console in a Christmas day;in 83 or 84 one of those years.

I was 5 and my parents gave me NES for Christmas.......But the best memory I have is the Christmas I got the SNES see I was looking in my parents room for gifts and I ran across the SNES and I showed my sister, when my parents came home she told on me and my parents told me that the SNES belonged to my cousin and they were hiding iit for my uncle, and later that night my uncle came over and took the SNES, and I cried until Christmas, I opened all my gifts and there was no SNES but I got a new 13 inch TV, for some reason the front door was opened and my dad told me to close the door and right behind the door was the SNES!!!despa1r_fact0r

Well, my original GB I got from my parents before we went on our overseas holiday for 8 weeks to keep me entertained ... I hardly used it on the trip but used it a lot after.

My first home console I got for Christmas one year.

1998- I got PS1 for my birthday along with my first game Tomba.

I was like 4 years old and my sister was 12 and our uncle bought us the Super Nintendo bundle that comes with 2 controllers, Super Mario World, and Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest . Super Mari World was the first game I played and it is one of my faves.

EDIT: It was a christmas gift for both of us.

i had got every console from 1988-2003 from birthdays and x mas, ps3 wii and 360 ds lite saturn genesis atari 2600 dc psp lite ps2 slim and any other replacment system i bought my self,

first system i own= nes, super mario bros /duck hunt

and i still use all my old and mind you new hard ware ,,

I was three years old, a wee lad. My dad came home with a sega genesis, which was "all the rage". He used to play games back then, and with it I played Sonic The Hedgehog. Even though I was only three, I remember playing Sonic alllll week. And from there, it grew.

Kind of unfortunate how Sonic is going downhill.
