After 2014 I doubt we'll see another major release at retail (besides Bungie's shooter MMO) for current gen consoles. But indies might support them for a while longer.
It depends entirely on game sales for the systems. Developers will focus their resources where they feel they can get the best returns for their investment. Normally it's only a year or two at most the last generation platforms get decent support. Though in some cases support stops even before the new systems are out. That doesn't appear to be happening with the PS3 or 360 as the majority of the known upcoming games are coming out on these systems.Â
Probably a few years at least. The PS2 still got games released for it for years after the PS3 came out. Not a stretch to assume the same will apply for the PS3.
Pipe dreaming but I hope support for PS3 can co-exist with PS4 for a few years. Would hate for the main focus to be on PS4 with some cool titles for PS3 still coming out. I assume there are still plenty of people besides myself not ready to make the leap of faith into next gen so soon.

So we have Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls coming out this year; these are pretty big titles. And after that we haven't announced any new software for PS3."'
I was coming in to post that. Sounds like Sony is moving full steam ahead with the PS4. Personally, I think it is smart. 7 years is a long time. This is relevant, from http://www.gamespot.com/news/yoshida-talks-all-things-playstation-4-6404291?tag=Topslot;SonyTalksPlaystation4;SonyTalksAbsentPs4Har

Keep in mind of all the companies currently offering video game hardware, Sony is known for sticking out support with prior gen equipment the longest by far.Â
Probably pretty quickly. Developing for the PS3 has proven to be a pain, so I imagine they will move away from it ASAP. I highly doubt it will last anywhere near as long as the PS2.guynamedbillyi heard ps2 was a pain to develop for as well.... but they will still support it.
