How many games have WoW sold

Ok, ive been wondering for a while how many games wow have sold, not subscribers for the game. But how many it has acctualy sold. Anyone could help me? Have a link or something? Becouse i cant find it anywhere. All i can find is that BC sold over 2.4 mill the 24 first hours.

You really don't have to buy the original game as you can download the client try it for 10 days then just buy an account which most probably do

Yeah, but that still a sold game. But in other words. No one knows how many wow games has been sold?

Considering WoW has something like 9 million plus active subscribers, I would say around 9 million copies sold.

Blizzard doesn't reveal it because it's not in their best interest. Notably because how account subscriptions work in Asian countries and how that sort of inflates their subscription levels, at least by American and European standards. So to reveal the lower boxes sold would likely curb the hype that their subscription numbers generate. Simply put, if it was impressive, they'd include it in their press releases. There's a reason they don't.
