[QUOTE="MentatAssassin"][QUOTE="muthsera666"]As a collector, I don't trade in any of my games. However, I'm glad some people do, as it makes it really cheap for me to buy more, lol.BuryMe
This, plus it just doesnt seem worth trading in your games considering what you get for them.I'll never understand that.Even if you don't get much for trading it in, isn't getting a little something better than getting nothing at all?
I understand collecting, but I've run in to a lot of people who don't collect games that keep ones they hate/will never play again just because they don't think they'll get enough if they sold them
I think for some, such as myself, pleasure to some degree is derived from the mere possession. This materialistic impulse can be overcome when receiving financial compensation. However, if the compensation does not seem adequate to the quality of the game, or the transference of ownership, it doesn't feel like an acceptable barter.
For example, if I was offered $40 for any one of my games, it would be tough for me to pass up. However, if I was only offered $5 for any one of my games, I wouldn't take it, as I would prefer to have the game remain in my collection. The parting with the game is worth more than $5 to me.
