So how old are the gamers on these forums

I am 23 and own a gaming PC, N64, and Playstation.

I have a few more years on you and like you, was playingpinball before Pong came out and video games since (and the occasional pinball game still).

I hope I find something better to do with my free time by the time I'm 45, but I probably won't. I'm 29. My oldest still plays console games and she's 33. My uncle is over 40 and he plays WOW. His older brother plays it too. They always try to get me into it but I just don't like it.

Before people played video games they sat around watching TV. TV is boring so that's why I started playing video games back in the 80's.

Wow. I didn't start gaming until I was in middle school. Like, twelve years old or something. I got an N64 for Christmas the one year. And then I didn't get my Xbox until I was 16 or so. I can't believe how many people have been gaming since the single digits...muthsera666

I cant even remember the first time i started gaming. i remember playing atari at my cousin's house on my 4th birthday. then i remember playing this weird Penguin computer game with a keyboard even though it wasnt really a computer. The keyboard was the controller. it was so long ago that i cant even remember what it was called. I just remember that you played as a penguin and at the end of each level, there was a dragon or a godzilla (lol) you had to fight. then i got a nintendo, played some mario, got bored, then sega came and everything changed. god i loved sega.

15 here, my dad's 45 and my uncle's 40, they both play games and taught me how to play the playstation. I got hooked on the gameboy later on during a very, very boring trip on a ferry boat. Back then, gaming was just a time-filler. But now, I'm the one who has to make time for it!

17 here. Gaming since I was either 3 or 4, back when I'd play Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat 2 and Street Fighter (can't remember which) with my older brother and his friends. Good times.

Wow Glad to see some older gamers in here, I thought i was one of the few older on here....I dont feel like such a freak anymore haha For some reason, people make it out to be more "shameful" to be playing games as you get older...I always wonder why people dont consider gaming as a legitimate hobby like anything else....there was an article recently about the top 10 reasons why someone still cannot admit to being a gamer, theres all these stigmas surrounding it such as being a "nerd" or "antisocial" or "without a girlfriend/friends" etc etc....all of which dont apply to me... BTW, would love to get the group of older gamers for some gaming sessions, dont have too many friends seriously into gaming, Add me if you guys want, and maybe we can get something started..... gamertag on xbox live is z80 Proof Goosedeadly_shuriken

If you play games in an organized way then you will not end up being anti social or without a GF.

I'm 36. I've been gaming since Spectrum ZX81 and Atari. I love it, I game about 5-8 hrs a day.
