Hypocritical gamers.

Not too long ago, I was playing online ranked matches in Soul Calibur 4. I was up against a guy that was a few levels higher than me. In our first encounter, he chose Ivy, and I chose Sophitia. To shorten the description, he was doing all these fancy combos that I've never seen anyone else do with Ivy, and I got worked. The match ended 1 - 3, to him. Sophitia isn't my main, so I was just fooling around (sort of).

Shortly after, I met him again. This time he chose Ivy again, but this time I went with my main - Siegfried. Well, what can I say. I figured out the pattern this guy used in his stradegy, and after that, I whooped him. I won, 3 - 0. The one flaw in his stradegy was defence. He never blocked.

After the match, he sends me a message saying "Wow, get laid." And I'm like WTF? This guy was using Ivy, one of the most, if not THE most complicated character to use in Soul Calibur. Not only that, he was GOOD. AND he was a higher level than me! In all seriousness, it takes A LOT longer to learn how to use use Ivy effectively, than it does to use Siegfried.

Don't you hate it when people do that? People act as if they're the 'cool' ones who only play games once every blue moon, but we all know that they play every day of their lives, especially when you see a combo string that takes away 3/4 of your life in less than 5 seconds.

He was just being a sore loser. Back when I was playing Dead or Alive Ultimate, there was one guy who called me a nerd-with-no-life just because he couldn't beat me. I had to remind him that he too is playing an online video game, so he really shouldn't be talking; then he just counters by talking about how he gets laid all the time and blah blah blah. There's plenty of idiots and sore losers online, that's when it's time to use the mute feature.UT_Wrestler

Don't worry, the conversation between me and him, lasted a lot longer than his one liner, and it went exactly as you just said. I just didn't feel like putting up the whole thing.

Generally I have a good time on SFIV, but I ran into someone last week who was quite a good balrog, he won the first round, I won the second with an ultra finish and he won the third round, well done to him... but he decides to send me a message saying "I DESTROYED YOU NOOB YOU SUCK!" I sat there like... wtf? why people feel the need to gloat over there victories I'll never know, anyway, I challenged him to a rematch and said anytime... he replied with "NAH I ONLY PLAY GOOD PLAYERS" so i sent him one back saying... "sure, ;]"

He really wasn't anything special... and I know whats its like to be destroyed on SFIV, and he didn't do it.

One of them called me ugly. All I did was put my serious face :|

I used to play Halo 3 as a Strike Commander :P but I had something like a 90% win ratio, so lots of times I'd utterly dominate Generals (even premades if I had a friend or two playing), and I'd LOVE when they'd send me messages like "Reported for hacking" or something.

I'd always reply with a picture of a bunch of Halo items strewn together that formed "How much did your 50 cost?"

I always loved that, but I no longer play. Got too burnt out I played so much. Now I'm waiting for ODST :D

The ironic thing about this is that you seem to be really bothered by what the topic starter is saying and by saying that he should get a life you're doing what the he was complaining about on this thread in the first place.

What bothers me, is how idiotic people just like you, are even allowed access to the internet. And you're telling me to get a life when you yourself has a Gamespot account as well? If you had a 'life', according to whatever definition it is by you, you wouldn't be wasting your 'valuable' time by even reading threads, or even making stupid threads that say FF8 sucks.

Which is based of your opinion, my opinion is that Final Fantasy 7 is worshipped like a god and that it is overrated as hell. Don't see me making threads such as "OMG FF7 IS TEH SUX0RS" because I know my opinion isn't universal.

That aside I don't see how arguing about which Final Fantasy is better or worse than another Final Fantasy game makes you more cool makes you less of a no lifer than people talking about a legitimate issue about online gaming.

I disagree somewhat...if right after a match or game, and you dominate your opponent, they say any of them comments, I think they are in fact implying that you play too much and you need a life, gf, job, etc...but it's different if you're having a random chat battle with someone..now if they say that stuff, then you're right...they can't think of anything else to say, so they just tell you to get a life or something else lame...
