I can't remember this game.

Greetings gamers,

So here's the question I have that I hope someone with more knowledge of video games than me can answer. My roomate just can not remember this old game he loved and wanted to play again. I've searched and searched from what he can remember and found nothing. All the clues I can give you is that he can remember: It's on the NES or Genesis, probably not SNES but possible. It's a side-scroller. It's losely based around controling a Knight in full suit and consistantly in a dungeon or cave. He distinctly remembers colored keys and/or rooms. (I.E. Blue room/key, Red room/key etc.) The last clue is he distinctly remembers something about a wand also.

Please, if anyone recognizes this game post the titles so that I may search them for him. ANY information is helpful, he really wants to play this game and I really want to know what it is now =P.

Sounds like one of the Wizards and Warriors titles, there were three on the NES.

I've shown him those games and none of those are correct. He told me today that he's almost positive that it's on SNES.
