I can't think of what this game is called!

Ages ago...

There was this platform action RPG game where you can choose from a short list of characters including the typical Warrior/Wizard/Elf and also a Cleric and a Ninja. It was action oriented so you had to attack creatures and jump over things and collect gold and items. I remember there were segments in the game where your character entered shops and could purchase upgrades for weapons/armor. I clearly remember the cleric having a morning star.

For years I've thought about this game but I could never rmember its name. I was never any good at it. Never advanced too far and never really got any cool weapons but I've always thought about that morning star. Now, I'm at work and just thinking about the game again. This time, I'm just going to ask for help!

BTW I remember that it was also out in the arcades for a while.

Any ideas?

It sounds vaguely familiar... Was it on the N64? "Ages ago" can mean just about anything these days. XD
