I noticed that during there times, people played and explored more games on GEN.

[QUOTE="SamusFreak"]

[QUOTE="Shockwave-DASH"] The list you made was based on current looking back now form that time forward, some of those were not on lists back then. Also the post above this one I am quoting fomr you that WAS THE ORIGINAL point.Shockwave-DASH

Sooo, we're opperating under the impression that a significant change in these figures happened after the consoles life span? I just don't see how it's so hard, to see that nearly 80%, nearly a full 4/5ths of all games bought, are not big games, must haves, system sellers, etc. But on the rest of the library. Sure doesn't look like the systems library was largely left untouched for the popular stuff.

So your saying Bubsy is a must have? THat was a big game? THat's a must have? Only popular games or such with few excpetions got touched, on the genesis side there was a near equal number of popular games and tons of unpopular games that did well.

I don't know what Busby is for, or how well it did. But what your saying after the fact, is what I am getting at. The most popular games, along with the "lesser" popular games( the list is a top 45, not a top 10 or 20) only account for around 23% of game sales. So that other 77%, accounts for "less popular games" Would you not agree then that the library, is indeed pretty well explored? I brought up my expereience earlier, I have only a handful of games under the "popular" wing, most are( I assume) nowhere near it. And we paid fair prices for them( not bargin bin) in the late 90s. Sales were still going strong at that point for many games.

You are such a stupid, disturbed little troll. You'd have to be a moron or have no taste whatsoever (both which I'm sure you qualify) to think the 3DO was/is better than the Saturn or N64, especially when it comes to the quality of their respective libraries. STFU and quit posting.

Shenmue_Jehuty

My opinion is stupid to you s it must be true. Yu never had any experience with it so I highly doubt you have room to talk. Calling me a troll? Your a self-cnetered jerk, family probably abandoned you for thinking everything must make sense in your view or it doesn't exist. Especially the N64, which barely had any damn games, buyt because you love it so much means no other opinion is allowed in your little fantasy land. How about you go do us a favor, dive in a pit of fire, and relieve us of your corrupted thoughts?

You laud a system that is considered one of the worst consoles to ever be released, along with other crappy consoles, yet you constantly bash consoles that were highly acclaimed like the N64, Saturn, and Gamecube in your other threads. You're a troll, face it. The 3DO has a handful of decent to good games on it, but nothing even remotely comparing to the many amazing games on those other consoles. As I said, you're either a total idiot or have no tastes whatsoever.

lol and you're the wrong person to be calling my psychological health into questions Another48hours, oh I mean Thenumber48, or do you prefer Comander_Commdumbass or whatever that account was called. You've created all these troll accounts, what does that say about your state of mind hmm? I've had the same account for years and I don't need to troll in order to give my existance meaning you pathetic little worm. Go back watching porn and brooding about all the popular kids at school, and quit posting stupid threads on here. Legacy will thank you.

Damge control: No, I did not create all those accounts (SAVE ONE) but I guess the people running the site and can check everything are liers. I also never bashed the Gamecube. Ever. I NEVER did. Post proof I bashed the Gamecube. You can;t because I never made BASH threads. You just assumed that because you are so inlove wth this hours guy and being the little high school drop out that you are, not mentally capable of understanding that. Proof is right there in my last thread about the gamecube. If you honestly think that was about BASHING, time to make yourself leave the world for others safety before you get any crazier. I only bagged on lack of variety in its quality games and controller like 500 other people on the N64 thread. Pointing me out means you have problems comprehending. things well with your brain. It's sad kids like you probaly do stuff to make it happen or it was your parents fault. I bagged on the Saturn? The thread you said I bashed the N64 I said the Saturn was better and name a post where I bashed the Saturn? You sick go help the world and rid yourself of your presence. You can't even lie correctly. I also like how you trash consoles you have no experience wit, you're and insecure little kid rying to be manyly and failed. You are accusing things about me based on your own eveidence because your brain is damaged and make you believe silly things. THe abortion is too late, but maybe you can go to a psyco war until you actually have proof for your baseless assumptions?

^ just what I was thinking after reading/skimming through this. This is not system wars, just say you disagree and move on, dont try to prove beyond a reasonable doubt. That is what system wars is for. I agree with the TC, as a person who collected genesis and SNES games, I just found myself collecting more Genesis games, and just basically getting the noticable SNES games. Genesis is a bit more fun to explore because there are hidden areas, SNES was obvious, but I hardly got that many games. It does not help that I personally do not like how a lot of games sound on the SNES. So it could just be that factor.

I was always renting games so I explored them both about equally. For other people it's possible they were more focused on the more popular big names Donkey Kong, Mario, Mega Man, and Super Metroid and Link to the Past of course.

I have both Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. So yep I played both lots. Exploring the library of both consoles was something that I did. Blockbuster had lots of rentals back then. The 16 bit era is my favorite. Genesis had a larger library of games than the Super Nes since it had a 2 year head start.

I still have SNES and Genesis for quick pick up and play these 16-bit consoles are great even now. Genesis/Mega Drive is still worth looking into exploring what games you may have missed during the 4th generation. Since it is now cheaper to do so then when these were active systems.

So yep your are "kinda" correct. There are times when retro gaming is catching up on games you may have missed. Genesis/mega drive has around 915 titles to discover.
