It should be good I mean come on you got a tropical paradise over run with undead brain munchers.

Im looking forward to this game, and yeah, if you allready like zombie games like L4D you should like Dead Island.

No one can really tell you though because the game hasn't come out yet.

Odds are I might buy it on Steam but thats only after the reviews come out. I just wish there was a way to time travel to the future to get the reviews weeks before a game comes out. The prerelease hype for Dead Island is pretty strong.

Look at it this way. Dead Island is simply Dead Rising on an island. If you didn't like Dead Rising, you won't like Dead Island.

I didn't like dead rising. :( Thats not encouraging, bloody escort mission in the first day. Bashed the guys head in with a dumbbell while trying to knock a zombie off of him. That game needed more guns and fewer zombies. Also, I got murdered by that clown boss and haven't picked it up since.

I loved both Left for Dead 1 and 2 and have preordered Daed Island .From all that I know its one of the more promising zombie games available over the last few years .Its an open world ,like fallout or Saints Row 2 which really excites me . There are a lot of choices available to us which will determine how the game turns out and I don't think you are required to complete specific missions in a particular order like Dead Rising . I didn't really get into that either .Ther game also offers a number of melee weapons like Left For Dead 2 which are great for close battles with multiple zombies. I am betting it will be a lot of fun .Zombie bashing really never gets old.

No one's played it (other then select people), so we can't really say. Basically from what I've seen though, it looks like a mix of Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising 2.

It differs in key aspects to L4D though. Unlike Left 4 Dead, weapons don't have a crap ton of ammo, but you also don't have a crap ton of weak infected coming towards you unless you're in a high level area. Its much more open and will have RPG aspects to it.
