[QUOTE="gamingqueen"] [QUOTE="Sagacious_Tien"]I'm surprised that no ones mentioned Nintendogs, for DS. Every girl I've met has played it or knows a girl who has.Sagacious_Tien
I don't and fyi, every girl I know who plays videogames detest those games!
If you wanna get her into videogames, give her a bunch of story-driven and challenging games. One thing I'm sure of that all female gamers are into deep plot in videogames. I suggest you buy her an RPG or a survival horror game.
Hmm, then again I'm speaking of a workmates 3 daughters. 3 girls, all teens, all have their own DS's and copy of Nintendogs. But then again, you're a female on a gaming site - so you're more... "in the know" then you're average girl gamer. So Nintendogs is a good foundation, I've found. All those Brain Training titles as well. Stepping up from there, I recommend the Final Fantasy series, especially X and XI, and The Sims. My ex girlfriend and I playd a lot of Guitar Hero, and when we went to a party some time ago, Singstar was a big hit for them. Wii Sports went over well too.
My current girlfriend likes those 4 player beat em ups from the old arcade days, so we play Final Fight, TMNT Arcade and the like - the fact that you're playing together and that there's not many button combinations to remember really helps.
Tamaguchi games aren't a good way to get someone into videogames. I think it's a waste of time and money to buy games with such a stupid concept and people will get a bad impression if they play any of those. I say if you want someone to stop playing videogames give them those pointless nintendogs nintecats "videogames" At least we get to watch cut-scenes and read stories in RPGs since you build a character in both games.
I LOVE the type of other games you mentioned especially 4 characters beat them ups.
