In your opinion what is the best game you have played in the last 4 years?

Resident Evil 4,Guitar hero 2,Ratchet and Clank 3,Bully,New super mario bros.

It's probably a toss-up between these three for me personally.....

Resident Evil 4(Gamecube & PS2...since I found both versions equally as good for different reasons)

God of War(PS2)

Honorable mentions......Half Life 2 (PC), Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (PC), Okami (PS2), Shadow of the Colossus (PS2), Bully (PS2), Max Payne 2 (PC), Prince of Persia: Sands of Time / Two Thrones, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (GC), Beyond Good & Evil, Riddick - Developer's Cut (PC).

So hard for me to just pick one so the top 5 for me would be Gears of War, Oblivion, Dead Rising, Ninja Gaiden: Black, and Metal Gear Solid 3.

I feel so bad for some that I missed so some honourable mentions would be God of War II, Okami, Final Fantasy XII, Dead or Alive 4, Resident Evil 4, and Forza 2.

Metroid Prime, Twilight Priness, ICO, SotC & Wii Sports all spring to mind...

though i think prime's older than 4 yrs :oops:

Havent ever played Okami but looks to just be awsome.

Same here. Except I may switch GOW with Riddick. But RE4 and KOTOR are easily my top 2 games since 2003.

RE4 is probably at the top along with Ninja Gaiden Black, God of War 2, Half Life 2(PC), and Forza 2.

Honorable mention: Far Cry(PC), God of War, Forza, Gears of War etc...

I'd have to say Metal Gear Solid 3.  It's great on all counts:  Gameplay, Story, and Visuals.

Of course, I'm saying this while not owning a next-gen console, and still waiting to play:

I'll go out of the limb here and say that the best game I've played this past four years is New Super Mario Bros.

Why? Because no matter how much I play this game, I'm still not bored of it. I can see myself still having fun with this game in the next four years and beyond. All Super Mario games are like this and this is one of the best ones.

I just like being different.... :P

hmmm, either KOTOR, Psychonauts, Dragon Quest 8, or Kingdom Hearts

wanted to put God of War in there, but, if i had to choose in a span of 4 years, then a 10 hour game wouldnt quite make it up there. but it was a tough choice to make.

I've played so many great games over the past 4 years. I think 2006 was the best year for gaming yet. Let's see... the games that I've replayed or bought over the past 4 years that did'nt dissapoint me were Gears of war, Kingdom hearts 1 & 2, God of war 1 & 2, Rainbow6 LV, GRAW 1 & 2, Metroid prime 1 & 2, Resident Evil 4 and countless others.

The game that gave me the most enjoyment was Zelda TP. Yes it's not much different from "a Link to the past" but you can tell that this is the final Zelda game to use this formula because in this version it's done to perfection. This is the best Zelda game to ever use the link to the past style of play. The only way Nintendo can make a Zelda game better than this one is to completely remake the series from the ground up because as it stands now there are no improvements to be made unless they add voice acting.
